That's part of what want when I did my calf last May ... calf muscle ruptured, but achilles tendon went too .. but thankfully didn't rupture completely.

I'm ok walking now so long as I wear proper walking shoes, but normal shoes and it still hurts. I've tried the treadmill at the gym and I still can't run - just can't push off my right leg. Yet cycling is ok .. very frustrating. I still have to do bits of physio on the calf to keep it flexible.

I've bought a TENS and Ems device and it seems to be helping me

Man, Sir Chris Hoy still ripped and still struggling to find well-fitting pair of trousers

Need to do his gym routine

It's the look I'm going for .... a cyclist .. but not a waif-life climber that looks like they need a good meal  Sub hour blast where I can use my not insignificantly sized muscular legs (to paraphrase the gym bunny I was training with yesterday) :training: As she said, a man should look like a man, big arms, shoulders, legs and not a scrawny git (my Rach always said the same).

That's my excuse anyway for being 5ft7 and 81kg

Same as me, dodgy calf when running .... I wonder if cycling causes this weakness?

I have a real dodgy calf too - I pull it just walking the dog. Mine (I think) is cycling and then not stretching etc after. Calves tighten and then go pop.

PS - I have a chihuahua so I only walk it round the block - not miles. I look proper hard walking a fat black chow round the estate

Watched UCI indoor world champs this morning. I really liked the back to back elimination setup. Zwift should do some of these or better still CCC. Shock winner and wtf happened to the women's video feed :cursing:

I think gcn have highlights up for the men's races at least. Haven't watched the women's yet, will probably just watch highlights as saw a spoiler.

People did try breakaways in both races at least to try and stop it being a sprintathon

My consultant has advised me not to run unless I really want to as it may shorten the life of my replaced hip. I was planning to do a bit of jogging but its no big deal to bin it.

Luckily he said I can walk as far as I want and cycle as much as I want, including racing.
