I've just bought a device to link to my manual treadmill so I can run around in Zwift, rouvy etc. Anyone else do this?

I've done it a few times a while back - runpod or something tied into shoelaces; seemed fairly accurate/correlated roughly to the treadmill distance and speed - I'm not much of a runner so I wasn't as worried about accuracy as I'd imagine some would be. Only tried zwift but can't imagine there's much difference in different platforms, it's definitely not as immersive as cycling indoors

It's more to use as a gimmick as I don't run either. My calf goes when I do so limit myself to 10mins. Got a Runn pod thing, had a quick go on rouvy but the view on phone is tiny. Will try again with laptop. I don't sub to rouvy or Zwift so not sure how much use I'll get from it unless I find a cheap / free app to pair it with.

I think running is free on Zwift?
Just checked. This is correct.

Unrelated, but the eSports WCs looks to have upped their game for viewers. No spoilers but lots of burritos flying in race 1. Like the format of back to back races

Same as me, dodgy calf when running .... I wonder if cycling causes this weakness?

Yup. Definitely more interesting. Really liked the last, 'knockout', race.

I definitely noticed my Achilles tendons are a bit weaker than they used to be.

I have been thinking about getting a treadmill and using it on Zwift. For a bit of regular walking rather than running. Just don't really have where to put it though.

I'm going from a job doing 15k steps a day to office based so I definitely need mine.

That's part of what want when I did my calf last May ... calf muscle ruptured, but achilles tendon went too .. but thankfully didn't rupture completely.

I'm ok walking now so long as I wear proper walking shoes, but normal shoes and it still hurts. I've tried the treadmill at the gym and I still can't run - just can't push off my right leg. Yet cycling is ok .. very frustrating. I still have to do bits of physio on the calf to keep it flexible.
