You eat pizza and read the paper when you're riding?

Except, the spirit back in the bkool days was that, subject to availability, we just raced everything. Shame you didn't see it. Mind, you were probably in nappies...
Must have been in the previous century ;)

Focus on what's ahead. Let's plan something in, see who signs up and then see what happens :becool:

Or learn from what worked in the past?

Be a real shame if peeps cherry picked races to their strengths.
I'm just conscious that this is purely hypothetical, Bob. Surely, we want to prioritise planning something and then seeing if it actually happens and then, if there's appetite, react to it.

Or we could evolve, learn from what works really well in Zwift and adapt that to a CC race set up?

BKool was fun at the time, but can any of us say we'd choose that now over Zwift?

Just looking at the race schedule for this afternoon, and very few have hills. Punches yes, but no hills - there's a reason for that, they're not popular for races. So yes, I select races to my strengths, but so do most people, and that has shaped how Zwift racing has evolved by the looks of it as not many races go upwards.

I still think a CC Tiny series each week could be the best fun .. 3 races, different courses, something for everyone. Not just pure power, not just tapping out a w/kg, but tactics too. Racing should be fun - if it's not, then why do it?

For what it’s worth climbing isn’t just about tapping out a power.

I’d suggest every type of terrain and race has its own nuances.

I don’t have a preference to one over another either despite what others think. I like them all for different reasons that’s why I enter lots of different types of races.

It just make sense to my mind to keep it varied so it’s more for everyone.

But hey….

Evolve 😂

Anyway, dead horse and all that but this isn’t about what is popular on Zwift but a series of races we all race. Variety is the spice of life. 2 birds etc…
I’ll race whatever.

I like shorter races, because it will likely allow the less powerful hang on to the group. This makes it inclusive, else there is a risk of meet-ups being solo racing after a few miles.

That is why I tend to choose events with large numbers of riders- I can race others wherever I am in the pack.

I would like to say that my comment earlier was probably missed as sarcastic by a few
I was responding to what Carl said the only way I could . I couldn’t believe the difference in our opinions and maybe he was being sarcastic too
To say I’m only going to enter races where you can surf at the back and go for glory off others efforts but not bother trying in other races that involve a full workout because they are boring amused me to the point where I broke my rule of not replying
To me that seems cherry picking and goes against a series of races
I can’t be the only one who thinks this , it just doesn’t seem sporting
This isn’t a dig at anyone , it’s my opinion , feel free to disagree as I have
