Gym first ... need to keep the guns looking good. Steak and jacket spud for tea this evening - proper man food :okay:

Large piece of Salmon pan fried in butter. 19 hours fasted today

I was using our baby tractor 🚜 today backfilling a trench.

I'm awaiting gravel to do the other part of the trench and create a French drain around the back of the house

I would like to say that my comment earlier was probably missed as sarcastic by a few
I was responding to what Carl said the only way I could . I couldn’t believe the difference in our opinions and maybe he was being sarcastic too
To say I’m only going to enter races where you can surf at the back and go for glory off others efforts but not bother trying in other races that involve a full workout because they are boring amused me to the point where I broke my rule of not replying
To me that seems cherry picking and goes against a series of races
I can’t be the only one who thinks this , it just doesn’t seem sporting
This isn’t a dig at anyone , it’s my opinion , feel free to disagree as I have

All good Lee, I took what you said as a joke/sarcastic and took no offence

All I was suggesting, and what most seemed to be suggesting in the earlier parts of the chat, was a series of races that are more inclusive rather than races where the winner is known before the off and they end up becoming iTTs

Races that include 2-5 min punchy climbs will be good as it lets others apart from pure climbers the chance to fight to stay in touch. And so would be an excellent workout for all - you'd be trying to drop the sprinters, the sprinters would be totally in the red hoping to stay in touch.

I also a agree that a totally flat race wouldn't be as inclusive as it lets us sprinters sit in and unleash our 30 second power. Rolling courses much better, but I still think that a 'Tiny' series would be brilliant ... but then I love the Tiny race format so I'm biased.

So, what's everyone having for tea?
Prawns and chips, hopefully. Some lemonade with that.

You're never bored, are you? Very impressed by how few contractors you've been using recently ;)

For the record in my opinion Tommy is not a bully. A lanky opinionated bugger perhaps. But not a bully.

Lee is a sarcastic little bugger. I have to remember that when I hear him and I am not sure if he is small or so far away I can’t kick him.

I am pretty sure that even if Lee is closer you can't kick him, he is fast enough that he is gone much further before you hit him. You only sprain your leg if you try that. So friend advice, don't do it.

It’s all good mate 👍

I appreciate the comment so thanks for that. But the truth is I know what I’m about. I think you do too by now! I have ethics that maybe make me a dinosaur to some…. But I know having opinions means you don’t expect to get on with everyone and that’s fine with me. I’m very lucky in life with friends and family, always grateful for that. And I have a lot of people who have a similar outlook to me so I’ll stay with what I believe in.

When people start throwing insults it’s unfortunate, and I’ve taken a few on here over the years, but it normally says more about the people throwing them out.

He's buried them all in the trench
Must have been from abroad. Probably why it's called French drain.

P.S. I'm not sure if that conversation is still ongoing as I've put people on ignore and can't see their posts anymore. If you ask me something on here and I don't respond - you're likely on that list so DM me or send a pigeon.

I've offered Steve some help in organising the club event if he still wants to do it. I likely won't ask everyone what they would like and instead just plan it. You can sign up or send your complaints to Bravo Girl :smooch:

Finished off my clean-sweep of TdZ top-10s tonight with 7th place on my go-around of Stage 4. I got away on the lower slopes of Keith Hill with 2 strong As but they dropped me halfway up. Solo TTed around 30s ahead of a group of six and almost held on, but eased off when the gap dropped below 15s with a few km to go. Was knackered for the sprint! Got my second best-ever 5min (364W) and promoted to the very bottom of A.
