Well that was just like the original BKOOL days - getting dropped right from the start!

I did go a bit deep in the DIRT series ITT a bit earlier though - I know, I know, no sympathy from any of you though ^_^

Where you in that race Paul 😂😂😂

Not often I can say that! 😄

Great result Michael. 2nd in B and not far from the front overall. 👏👏

That was a tough one what with the mixed cats. I was happy to hang on to the front for 2 laps but I didn't have the legs to hold on the third time up that ramp. I kept my foot on the gas for the remainder of the race to hold on to the position I had plus I knew I was on for a decent 20 minute average power and sure enough it was my best of this Zwinter.

That was quite nice. Never did a short race like that - kind of felt like it was over before it started

After a dozen sprints on Two Bridges, Sprinters Playground and then Cobbled Climbs the 4 today really felt like not much at all

Great result @mjd1988 and good efforts all round @IrishAl, @steverob and even @bridgy. Looks like @<Tommy> was afraid for his scalp and didn't show up ;)

Shame the pace wasn't harder - was secretly hoping for a better 20 min. power.

Feel free to gloat ^_^. Another call back to the old days - getting kicked in by you Al!

Yes sorry about last night… suddenly had a load more pre Christmas work thrown at me.

Going to try again tonight

Taking the train rather than cycling to work today. So I swapped my bike ride for a 5 minute panic run to catch the train on time. Man running is tougher than cycling…

Roller shutter in and Zappi installed.^_^ What shoddy newbuild electrics- site electricians had used 10mm, junction-ed it outside into 6mm armoured. Used Wago 6mm push connectors, bloody well trimmed down strands to make it fit. Soon as you pulled on the Wago it fell off the wires. No way would that survive 30 Amps going through it. Shockingly bad work:cursing:. Took far longer to sort, sourcing correct enclosures.

Don't ask about the solar wiring.

Today easy job-hopefully fitting correct door handles to kitchen units

If anyone wants to enjoy watching me getting dropped at the start of yesterday's race, the video's here (unfortunately because of this none of the rest of you feature in it very much!) Then skip to the 22:30 mark where, with 500m to go, some guy inexplicably decides to drop a burrito powerup which causes a split in the group that I (and him - the plonker!) am again on the wrong side of :headshake:

You do see me occasionally in @bridgy's video, or rather you see my name in the Riders Nearby board on the right. I'm in the group directly behind his (2 seconds back as they enter the Volcano but it only grows from there), which means he was in the group that contained the lead C riders, although as previously explained, over half of them were actually B's. We do pick up some of the riders that get dropped from his group in the later laps as well.

The burrito is a strange isn’t it. Iirc correctly it removes the draft benefit from all riders around - front, side and back - so it’s going to hurt you as much as those behind.

Are these the same electricians who wired your shades out of phase?

Everyone within 2.5m of the person who deploys it, but that person still has drafting enabled. But if everyone in front of you for 2.5m has it disabled and you're in a bunch it's going to hurt YOU too. https://zwiftinsider.com/updated-feather-burrito/

Best use of it would seem to be when you're attacking off the front or want to advance in the pack. I hate them.
The other thing is, Eric says there's no point in deploying one if someone next to you does. But I think he may be wrong about that. It's the only way to get the **** who did it to YOU

No these are my son's new house. He's having our Leaf for commuting. I said I'd fit a Zappi charger. We asked the estate builder to do very specific but simple electrical additions to his house. I asked to see the electrics at first fix and before plasterboards were fitted. Sneaky buggers invited me when they were already skimming the plasterboards🤬

At that point they blankly refused to sort out the incorrect electrics.

For expediency I decided to get my electrician to sort the remedial works. He was horrified at the shoddy work. No earth bonding, Wago connections, poor labelling in the main consumer unit. Just slap dash work.

Consumer unit has been reconfigured to separate out the garage on its own RCBO so not to interfere with house electrics in case of fault. I have to wire in a CT clamp to main meter box to throttle down Zappi when house is having big power demand. I asked for all this to be done first fix. Now I have to dig a conduit trench around the house to remedy this-arrgh. Only upside he didn't ask for landscaping so garden is bare soil
