If anyone fancies some lunch time sprint drills, there's the 'Kinetic Cruisers' at 11:30 am this Friday. Few laps of the Fan Flats in Richmond, Z2 between sprints. Highly recommend.

That's also an option if you want everyone to hate you . My way only hurts the original perp.
Maybe it's because I have been burned too many times by the burrito when it is actually being used correctly, so now I have no qualms about dropping it myself even if it makes others curse me!

However I swear that somehow only riders that I am chasing seem to know how it works and can use it to the greatest effect. There's a big difference between swearing at someone who's dropped a burrito randomly in a group of other riders with no obvious effect, versus the ones who have used it EFFECTIVELY on you, like when I'm pushing super hard to get back into a pack and the guy at the rear sees me coming and hits the button just as I'm about to bridge.

Is there a single swear word that sums up "you complete and utter bastard, you have successfully stopped me from getting your draft, which even though that was your actual aim and was clearly carried out very well, I'm still going to incredibly angry about it!" ?

I did the first stage of DIRT Racing Series yesterday which was an ITT (I might have mentioned it in passing ).

Anyway, it turns out, doing a 30 minute ITT - including an ascent of Foxhill which is also a timed segment with FTS points available- is a great way of getting people who are bouncing around at the very top of their category upgraded ^_^

3 of the top 10 in my B+ Cat race (including the winner) are now Cat A :hello:

No these are my son's new house. He's having our Leaf for commuting. I said I'd fit a Zappi charger. We asked the estate builder to do very specific but simple electrical additions to his house. I asked to see the electrics at first fix and before plasterboards were fitted. Sneaky buggers invited me when they were already skimming the plasterboards🤬

At that point they blankly refused to sort out the incorrect electrics.

For expediency I decided to get my electrician to sort the remedial works. He was horrified at the shoddy work. No earth bonding, Wago connections, poor labelling in the main consumer unit. Just slap dash work.

Consumer unit has been reconfigured to separate out the garage on its own RCBO so not to interfere with house electrics in case of fault. I have to wire in a CT clamp to main meter box to throttle down Zappi when house is having big power demand. I asked for all this to be done first fix. Now I have to dig a conduit trench around the house to remedy this-arrgh. Only upside he didn't ask for landscaping so garden is bare soil

Andy maybe this is what you meant but the Zappi specifically will need its own supply rather than being on say a general garage ring or radial circuit. Is there a reason why you need to dig a trench for conduit rather than using a SWA cable? Just wondering really…

Wagos are generally fine depending on what they’re being used for.

So many people at work are ill at the moment as well as my missus. This nasty sore throat. Cough lurgy that’s sweeping though the country. I’m fine… but it feels a bit like going out in the rain and dodging the droplets at the moment. I have a forbidding feeling I’m going get ill right on the doorstep of Christmas

Wendy had it bad for 10 days or so - and it is still lingering a bit with her. Touch wood, it didn't strike me down although I felt I was fighting it for a while.

Same here for almost 2 weeks now. Sore throat and sneezing/coughing up massive volumes of brownish goo. I feel it's slowly getting better though. It's in the way of my 1200W target

Wagos are generally fine depending on what they’re being used for.

I asked the builders to install a separate continuous 40amp RCBO to the garage and data cable. They did neither

They fitted a 10mm cable jointing it outside with Wagos in a small 4" box. Used 6mm Wago and trimmed the 10mm cable to fit into the Wagos

. We opened the joint box checking for earth connections when we moved the connectors they just fell off the wires. We upgraded to a much larger box with 10mm connectors.

I need to feed the CT input back from the meter or internal consumer unit to the Zappi. Main fuse is 80amp which potentially could blow if he had the car charging, having a shower(electric) tumble drier going and making a cup of tea^_^

The Zappi will throttle down charging from the current drawn by the house reading the CT information. It easier to dig a trench around the house to the garage whilst soil is still soft, lay a conduit and feed small cat5/6 cable through it.
