It makes no difference because TT events don’t have drafting regardless of what bike you use. I think that ZI say that a light TT bike is best. Not sure whether it’s better to use aero wheels or Meilensteins…
Yeah, when it's a proper organised TT event (e.g. the ones with the conveyor belts in the pens) then drafting is turned off regardless of what bike you're on. I went with a fairly aero TT bike (but not the most aero one) combined with all-rounder wheels - don't know if it made any difference, but it was worth a try.

Should podium too ... just me in this race so far lol
Damn, couldn't even podium with 4 riders

@steverob Strava has me 20:54 with a split of 9:31 for flat and 11:23 for climb

Quite pleased with that. Leg not too bad, the odd twinge.

I thought I'd have another go with a TT bike on the Bologna course compared to my Canyon Aeroroad setup.

I tried to beat my time, but also be consistent with power for a comparison

here are the results. Purple trace is the TT bike setup. Average Watts are identical for the flat section on both attempts.

Slower overall :ohmy::laugh:

Interesting - 15 seconds faster on the flat, but ~20 seconds slower on the climb, although most of that loss came in the first half. What were your power figures like on the hill?

In other news, I see on ZwiftPower that we might have a new leader of the Bologna challenge (sorry Bridgy), but I'll leave him to officially post his time before updating the league table.

I was aware of the inevitable @berty bassett awesome time! Bit shy to tell everyone though isn't he? To be quite honest I'm delighted to be as close to his time as I am!

My power was on the climb section 276W for Canyon road bike

271W for full TT bike. I did use Zipp 404 wheels on both bikes.

Maybe a bit of fatigue - getting old ya knows

Couple of reasons I didn’t post time
1 not allowed in team (boo)
2 didn’t know what bike was allowed so like Andy I did it twice , once with tron and once with tt bike - haven’t checked zp as it doesn’t matter but strava had it 1sec difference
Paul’s time confirmed what I was worried about ! 50 is the new 21
Well done sir - those be Anumbers 😁👍🤞
