I decided you lot are all nuts and I'm putting the thread on ignore who thought it was a good idea to do a time trail in Bologna !! Up a massive hill . And I'm stupid enough to do 23.24 I think

You would have loved one of the Zwift Events last year ... I seem to recall two and a half circuits of the course. Although I did my best to put the trauma out of my mind 😢😢😢

Yes, I suppose that is the case. I’m probably still in the same position as last season - able to control the race in C and get dropped like a stone in B!

I’m in the same boat as you Nick. I’m sure if I did a Zwift race my numbers would put me well and truly in C but I’m holding out hope that I can build the race fitness back up although my days at the front end of B races seem a distant memory 😅

First race: Climber's Gambit. Gotta love them

@CXRAndy and @Whorty will be delighted

(I'd already read the WTRL page, but I don't know what the autumn season looked like last year. But having read ZI I now see they've compressed the whole year so it's finished earlier.)

ZI also mentions that the C/D races might be a bit shorter. Now THAT would suit me quite well

Ive done one of those double climbs on the Bologna. If you're off the back, the thought of a second ascent

Can we very quickly get some kind of leaderboard done for this Bologna TT before @berty bassett or @<Tommy> do it? ;)
How's this?

Interesting to start with a hilly stage - that might well cause some people to go over category! In previous years the stages with big climbs always came in after the "four race rule" had already taken effect, so riders right on the cusp at the top of their category could sandbag the flat stages and still continue to the end of the season. We'll see if that makes a difference this time round.

In previous seasons they have done either shorter stages (custom finish lines) or fewer laps for C & D in some rounds. I would guess that for us Round 2 might only be two laps, Round 4 will be four or five laps, and Round 6 will finish either at 31.5km (Fuego Flats reverse banner) or 39km (top of Titans Grove).

Yes that's pretty much where I sit at the moment (according to recent outdoor power figures). At the strong end of C but not strong enough for B to be any fun (unless they make it <10 minute races ). Will be interesting to see how we stack up compared with the other teams in the higher division.
