Isn’t it a team of 8?
You can line up with anywhere between 3 and 8 riders, although obviously the more you have the easier it is (and the better your time probably).

I suppose it depends on whether we have one or two teams. If we have a Frappe team only, we'll fill it up each week easily, but it'll be the A and the B's doing all the work - any C's will be there just to cling on to the draft for as long as they can as they almost certainly won't be able to take turns. With a Frappe and a Latte team, everyone will be able to play a role in one or the other, but there's a fair chance we'll only put out 5/6 riders in each team most weeks.

Not unless you want to get up at 6am on Saturday unfortunately.

There's two tonight (18:00 and 19:15), then the next one that isn't in the middle of the night or multiple laps of the course is 21:30 on Monday.

At the Commonwealth Games tonight... 😉

So will miss the two tonight, and won't get back home til early hours so the 06:00 won't happen.
@13 rider your position is safe... 👍

I don't know anything about WTRL TTs. Mixed cat teams? Any links that would explain how it works?

The thought of hanging on to your life to keep in the draft sounds really fun

Don't know if the following diagram helps, or actually makes it more confusing!

Basically if we had a Frappe team, we could enter up to three A riders (not that we have 3 but...) and as many B's or below as we wanted. If it was a Latte team, then it would be three B's max, with the rest being C's or D's. And that's assuming you have 5-8 riders in total - if you only start with 3 or 4, then there's a further restriction.

I've been in a TTT with B's before (early ZRL) back when I was an inexperienced borderline C/D. Then I rarely lasted half the course distance and that was with me going flat out while the B's just cruised on the front. As now a mid-C with a decent history in TTTs, I would feel able to contribute to a Latte team, but wouldn't stand a chance in a Frappe team - I'd be more of a drag on my teammates than I'd be useful in increasing the draft.

What’s the thoughts on having a team or two for the WTRL team time trials on Thursday evenings? I know some of you raced for other teams but I’m not sure if that’s still the case? The Frappe classification allows up to 3 A’s in the team and Latte allows for up to 3 B’s.
Just a suggestion to gauge interest and add another evenings racing / swearing down discord?

Depends a bit on times but could probably be about some of the time if needed

What if I don't drink coffee? ;)

Seriously, that sounds cool. I'm interested.

interesting
in all honesty , I have been lumbered in A solely because of weight
I can't keep up with the proper As and have a proper battle with Paul and lanky even before they get promoted , if they get put in A then I would join up just to get my ass kicked but you have a good team with them in B
as much as it grieves me to say it , I don't think I can add anything to the teams in this flawed system
it just doesn't work for me the way it is set up ,shame as I really enjoy the racing with or against you all
if I kept w/kg numbers down to B level then C would beat me - just doesn't make sense
