As things stand you can count me out for anything other than a scratch race.

Really not interested in reading a weeks worth of essays on the subject of time gaps, especially those laced with accusations.

Haven't caught up with Paris Nice yet @Joffey will probably read about it on cyclingnews.com tonight
Awww don’t spoil it - I have only been reading to see who gets the east Enders duff duffs 😁
As an outsider looking in , it’s amusing in one way but sad in another

Like watching orphans going to work on Pugsley the bear with a cricket bat? 😂

Bob, get well. Whilst you're taking a medical breakxx(, can you tell me how to do thumbs up either in Zwift or Strava? Im usually Ok working around software, but am flummoxed with this!

Breedon, not yet, but even the take it easy rides can get a bit frisky, from my limited experience:okay:
The thumbs up can be done on screen by selecting the rider and pressing the thumbs up icon. More realistically the companion app allows you to give a thumbs up to riders in the near local. The Strava app has a thumbs up icon just press it.

Holy first page of the thread revival! Are you reading through this whole thread, starting on page 1? Good luck!

P.S. had to have a small chuckle at @bobinski 's 4 year old post that Andy's replying to there - some things never change eh Bob ;)

Guys, I've sent out the Meetup invite for next Tuesday's Handicap race re-run.

Couple of things to note: 1. It's a 7pm start this time; and 2. I've increased the distance by 1km just to solve the annoyance that the standard meetup distance doesn't quite cover the full Strava segment.

If anyone who wants to race hasn't received an invite, please let me know on here and make sure you're following me on Zwift Companion app and I'll add you in.

Time gaps will be agreed very amicably by Team captains and announced before the race

@BurningLegs are you racing tonight? Any other takers? See a few signed up in differents cats

I was going to. Then I saw the race time and thought it’s kind of cutting into my evening too much. But now I’m probably 50/50. Watch this space! Or probably don’t...depends how busy your day is I guess... I’m doing a mountain of paper work and there’s a programme about car boot sales on in the background. If that’s the backdrop of your day too, then watching ‘this space’ is probably an improvement to be fair... if you have a life beyond programmes about car boot sales then probably best to carry on with that... I’ll keep you posted 👍👍. (About the race, and also the car boot sale if you like). So far the blue team seem like complete morons. But who am I to judge. I’m the idiot watching this shite!)

In other news no one else is probably interested in...

Remember a few months ago I said I was having a frame built for me? Probably not 😄. Well, still waiting on the frame. I think another month maybe. But the parts are rolling in. I’m going to use speedplay peddles for double sided simplicity they’re perfect for track bikes. But I’ve decided to swap out some of the heavier stainless steel parts for titanium ones.

Titanium spindles, ‘bow ties’, and bolts will reduce the weight of the peddle by nearly half I think.

That’s the good news. The bad news is speedplay are just about to announce a new range of pedals. So this little lot could be obsolete before I’ve even built the bike! Ah well... if I can just make it down to the car boot sale, I have a feeling a can sell them to a couple of dopes wearing blue T shirts for twice what I paid for them! 👍👍
