I have to say I really don’t appreciate the insinuation that we have an agenda.... I said yesterday after Steve’s unfortunate comment and I’ll repeat it now, I think it’s completely out of line and baseless. Please let’s stop with that guys. You should know is better than that by now surely.

It’s great we’re all competitive. As I said I love it. And sometimes in that environment things get said that shouldn’t. No problem. I say regrettable things too sometimes. But I’m not interested in my integrity being questioned unless you have something to back it up. I’m not trying to get too serious so really sorry for the tone... I want to continue with the banter, the piss taking and especially the handicap races which I really enjoy. But please guys let’s keep it respectful 👍👍

That is all... rant over. My stop next. I’m going offline for a few hours now. I have to. If I see Joffey name one more time today I think I’ll go crazy 😂

What do people think about change of course generally. Heard rgv and watopia hilly did someone say the alpe?
Innsbruckring is always a fun one. Just to mix it up? Or are most people keen to do the same course?
I do likes the Innsbruckring ... I mean, who doesn't like a blast up the Legsnapper?

I don't think I'm misbehaving Paul and I have as much right surely to put my view as others have, but I do find it strange we want to switch someone out of a team rather than just tweak the start times and keep teams the same (accepting some cannot ride on the day, and others will slot in). Joffey is a C rider, albeit with high watts (as quite a few heavier C riders have), and he is currently riding in a C team.

If the race is still first over the line then tweaking the start times based on Joffey winning so CCC lose 30 seconds could work, but then 30 seconds wasn't a massive win time so with #68 being stronger anyway next time maybe the original times were spot on.

If it's 2nd, 3rd or whatever over the line then times tweaked according to that person. (not sure who those riders are for each team but I'm sure can be worked out)

But, I have another idea to stop all the bickering ... why don't the three team captains agree between them the start times and just tell the rest of us and we all agree to what the captains say?

Excellent idea 👍

Of course you have a right to put your views mate, I'm not trying to silence you! You're one of the most vocal people on the forum and I really welcome that.

BUT I simply didn’t like the insuation that the aim of handicap suggestions was to make one team win over another. That's never been the case as far as I'm concerned, I'm sorry if you think it is.

Your view on what the handicap should be next time is perfectly valid, as is everyone else's - as long as we're all striving for the same goal which is a close finish that gives a chance to all riders.

By the way I don't think anyone "wants " Joffey to switch teams, I think it was simply a suggestion based on the last race - I think everyone agrees it's up to him and the CCC team. It's not a problem!

I'm fine with your suggestion about team captains working it out - especially as I'm not our team captain so I can step aside from any controversial decisions!!

I'm up for the alpe. As long as we can all set our weights at 50kg ^_^

Scratch race up the Alpe has to be on the cards at some point!

In all seriousness the three current captains get together in their private group and agree what the plan is. Then let’s leave it till next week and have fun (last night was fun,if we can remember that) again.
Just my thoughts, no further comment your honour.

I rode Innsbruckring for the first time yesterday and I had a torrid time of it. I just don’t have the 1 minute power for the Legsnapper! Give me a Lutscher or Epic KoM any day!
It's the kind of course that suits my surge and recover riding. I can go into the red for that minute then recover to stay in the group, whilst the longer climbs I fade after a few minutes and can't hold the pace and there is less wheelsucking opportunity. I like the Crits for a similar reason :okay:
