Just to throw it out there, done an event last night “out and back again” might be too long for a later start as it took an hour, but a bit of everything in there, drag through the desert fugit flats then to volcano then reverse KOM finishing back in the desert. Just a thought, maybe could line that one up for a weekend event??. Good course
We've used that course a couple of times for Cyclechat races and it was a great course for it

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
IOnly Joffey out of CCC crossed the line ahead of others, remove Joffey and the CCC team will be way down (not sure how much, but who was the second CCC rider over the line last night?)

That was me, a minute behind the front group. And I'll probably not be riding next week - we've a clash for the smart turbo that I can't move at the moment. It's shared with my 16yo and he gets priority if there's team events/training.

I propose the following, then:

19:00:00 - CCC start [ @DCLane , @Whorty , @Spartak , @steverob , @Marino.g ]
19:03:00 - 68 start time (previously +3:15) [ @Brendan Parker , @Brusgaard , @mjd1988 , @bobinski , @Ketty , @Joffey ]
19:04:00 - 23 start time (previously +1:00) [ @BurningLegs , @<Tommy> , @bridgy , @Norry1 , @peterob , @Alongo ]

This keeps the gap between 68 and 23 the same, and it was a relatively early catch last night but 68 will be strengthened by moving the start time to 7PM. Perhaps the gap between 68 and 23 should come down to 0:45?

It "only" reduces the gap between CCC and 68 by 15 seconds, when CCC won by 33 seconds last night, but #68 are going to be stronger.

Anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Agree with the others that if you take Joffey out of CCC, then you need to INCREASE, not decrease the gap to the other teams. After all, you guys caught our team minus Joffey with 2.3 miles / 3.7km still to go...

For the record, we didn't actually ease up all that much after we launched Joffey as it turns out (I wasn't sure, so I went back and checked the numbers). At the bottom of Box Hill, we were 22 seconds faster than we did on the TTT the previous week, then spent a few seconds getting our breath back and re-grouping as a remainder of a team while we watched Joffey launch his attack. However we did then push back on - mainly because we saw that the two teams behind had caught each other and had formed a super-team. With that many in the draft we knew they'd really be able to ramp up the speed, so felt we had to at least try and hold them off for a long as possible.

When we were eventually caught on the Embankment, we were still 11 seconds ahead of our previous time - considering we were a man light, that's pretty astounding. At that point I'll admit most of us were spent - myself and Marino had to ease off and ended up coming in about 20-25 seconds BEHIND our previous time, while David and Ian managed to hold the 68/23 train for a while and their times probably matched or just beat last week's.

I was actually kind of being serious. I’m not the most sentimental bloke at the best of times. The numbers say he should be in #23 on that course. His power was 10 watts higher than mine and I had the highest number in our team. I think if you go with the numbers he goes in #23. If you go with continuity for the coming season then he goes in #68. Joffey only stays in #ccc if he doesn’t want to move teams?

Id make the same argument for Michael but I’d prob fall back on the continuity of #68 and keeping the numbers even making it better he stays with them.

I was surprised by that when I checked last night - 310 watts average according to Zwift  I was blowing a bit towards the end, I'll be honest with you

Yes, King @Joffey has big watts (fnar fnar) which is why on the flats he is our engine in CCC. He's quite good going downhill too

A few comments on my suggested time gaps so far, but haven't seen any specific suggestions from anyone?

Come on chaps, don't be shy - put some numbers out there! There's currently only one proposal on the table for next week, so if you have an alternative in mind lets see it?!

Just done a bit of analysis. For the distance of the meetup (which annoyingly - but typically for Zwift - doesn't quite cover the Strava segment for Greatest London Flat!), Steve went 28 seconds slower than his ZRL TTT time, and I went 8 seconds faster. So the time gap in the ZRL was 5:12, and in the meetup it was 5:48. So if Joffey's not in the team (he went 2 minutes quicker than the rest of Team CCC) and with the exception of him it is pretty similar riders as last night I would suggest a gap from Team 23 to Team CCC of about 5 minutes. I don't know if Whorty rides with CCC how much difference that's likely to make - we'll have to rely on Team CCC to advise on that I think...

I haven't analyzed Team 68 yet...

Looks like @Girafitti @Brendan Parker and @straas might be able to make the slightly later time so alongside me @Ketty @bobinski and who knows who else we should be even stronger this time around. @Brusgaard of course welcome again if you fancy it?
