Bailing out of the Uber Pretzel that was planned for tomorrow. Weather looks good here so going to venture outside.
Wish me luck I hear there may be other people out there, havnt seen many of them for a while. 😂

Yep, think I'm outside tomorrow as well. Weather next week looks good so hope to get a big week in (out).

Bit p*ssed off. All week the weather forecast said Saturday would be rainy (sometimes it said just morning, sometimes all day), but it would be dry all day Sunday. So I made family related plans for Saturday (that now can't be cancelled) as it meant I could then get a whole day on my bike Sunday.

Of course, I check this morning and the forecast has swapped around the two days completely. If it had just shifted the rain say 6 hours later to make it late Saturday to early Sunday, I could understand, but to completely change it 100% with less than 24 hours to go when they'd been super confident of it being the other way round as late as Thursday evening's forecast just seems odd. And I really don't fancy getting drenched again like I did the other week.

Unlucky @steverob but at least you have the Zwift option for Sunday? Could go for a route badge or join a fondo type group ride? I think it’s catch-up weekend on Tour de Zwift so lots of group rides available at various distances 🙂

Just done a Tour de Zwift Stage 5 group ride on Tuesdays ZRL course .
5 laps drafting round fan flats circuit then chance for a micro rest at @ 29.5 km as the course drops downhill for 50-60 seconds followed by an all out blast up Libby hill .
The ride was a lot tamer than Tuesdays will be , I managed 10/200 .

I realise this will have been asked before but......

I want to get some structure to my Zwifting to try and improve a bit more but also I’ve got a sportive in 12weeks (Struggle Dales 110 miles/11000ft) and want to give myself the best chance of enjoying it!!

Anyone done any of the Zwift training workout plans or recommend any others? The Zwift ones seem simple and prompt me to do them etc but not sure if they will be any good.

If not I will have some of what you’re drinking @Brendan Parker:training:

I picked up a copy of this last year and enjoyed reading it and doing the workouts. It definitely works, but it has some drawbacks (the author is quite up front about them). You don't have long until your event, so you tbh this kind of plan is the only one you have time for!

Those numbers remind me of the Wales ride. I enjoyed it till 90 miles and began to hate it in the last 30miles. Pace yourself early on. Break the possible 8 hours plus into chunks mentally. I told myself Id do the short route of 84 miles and decided to do the bigger 122 depending on how I felt

Between now and event stop all sugars from your diet to help train your body to use fats.

On the day though later on in the ride eat sugars, you will bounce back like superman
