Yeah I think we are down to 5 riders with @peterob living the high life in Cat A! 👏
it looks like we are moving to the earlier EMEA East timezone (1815 start time) as some of our more elderly races are having trouble getting off to sleep after the late shifts 😂😂
any volunteers for the #23 squad before we come looking....

The time is just a little early for me as well for the same reason as @BurningLegs - I'm sure it'll suit most folks better though

Just a thought - should we start a new thread which is just dedicated to the ZRL racing or carry on using this "general" one? I know we have the individual team "conversations" but it's good to have a place where all the teams share stuff.

I wondered what had happened at the start, I was expecting to see you ahead of me. Didn't know where your mate was on the road ...

A good workout for me. HR still way too high but I hit some Ok numbers overall although was suffering when we got to the finish.

I did enjoy that final climb, although I thought one or two of the group would have stayed with us. However when I saw the time gaps start to open I thought it best to push on, and with your help we managed to hold them off, I'm no sprinter so the 'tactic' of that breakaway worked well... :okay:

Same here, once we had that small gap on the climb I figured I'd go for it and see if we can split the group. I was surprised 4 of them stayed together but then it gave us something to work against .... 2 vs 4 :training:

I could see them closing fast on the final sprint so I tried to pull hard, but not drop you, that last km. It was close but we held them off nicely.

Good TTT practice for me too :okay:

Well no one was lying about how crap the apple TV remote is, my god.

But in general good experience with it, worked seamlessly, good graphics no drop outs. I used Siri and froze the game but I just....won't do that again.

Used flat pedals from hybrid on the bike, looks insane but larger surface area meant no foot pain during a brief go so will try it properly tomorrow (I think team irl have a hare and hounds race series @IrishAl ?).

So weigh in tomorrow then hopefully get down to race weight and fitness in the next few weeks for the ZRL

Actually more surprised the old pedals didn't wreck my feet sooner! I'll wait until foot is properly healed before trying clipless

Flip knows. I always meant to change them but never got round to it! I assume you can connect something ancient to them to make them toe clips or clipless but who knows
