Thanks for the race tonight @Spartak Enjoyed that a little more tonight compared to last night.

I made the slight mistake though on the little climb thinking I'd sit back and if anyone breaks away I'd try to drag you to them ...... only for you to attack and break away :laugh: Caught me off guard, but we did then destroy the little group and worked well together to stay away that final 9km :wahhey:

Did you make time on your GC competition?

First of all I must say it was a pleasure to ride with you again... :notworthy:

Regarding the last climb I felt okay so I thought I'd try to push on and it worked a treat, but I must thank you for sticking with me until the end, the group behind remained at about 10 secs for ages....

Sadly due to my bad start / connection problems by GC competitor beat me but hey ho it's only a game.... :okay:

Hi @Girafitti - thanks for coming over 🙂

FYI everyone - Girafitti is a B Cat rider who was looking for a team on Reddit.

Your numbers look good for our team @Girafitti - I will add you to our team chat and our captain (@mjd1988) can guide you through what you need to do with tags etc

What sort of riding do you usually do? Almost all of my cycling is indoors, but a lot of people have started doing more indoors with lockdowns. Have you been riding more indoors this year?

I try to ride every weekend when it's a bit warmer followed by a yearly cycling Vacation where we travel by bike from Belgium to a distant location (Marseille, Boedapest, ...). This year however due to Covid and a baby girl being born, I rode way more inside. I already had tried Zwift before but quit because I felt I had no one to ride with . But this year it seems that every cyclist I know started to use Zwift. I hope by joining this team, I'll get to know other riders that want to race frequently.

Also, I'd like to reply to the private group message but I think I'm not able to? Anyway, I definetly want to race and zwiftpower puts me in B. I understand that it aint possible to ride every week to rotatie. Hope I can be of use, super excited!

@BurningLegs I can't beat the 3kg in 10 days or whatever it was, but I've certainly added at least 3kg since the middle of November. All was going well losing a bit of weight in October but then I returned to working from home, and longer days sitting "working". I've raced twice since the end of ZRL, once being that disaster of a race round NYC where it felt like cycling in treacle (if that's a thing) and yesterday I did a crit city race - did ok getting 8th place of 60+ starters, with a 4.0wkg average. as well as putting on a kg or three I feel like I've dropped FTP. I haven't done a test in a long time probably cos I don't want to see the evidence.

Must do better in January! #newyear #newme

In 68 we have:
@mjd1988
@bobinski
@BurningLegs
@Ketty
@Brendan Parker (don’t worry, the form will return)
+1 - speaking to a few people on Facebook at the moment to see if they fancy racing in a B Cat team.

I think 23 have a problem now that @peterob has been promoted? Anything in the works there guys?

Meanwhile the third team has various riders volunteering from C/D (being co-ordinated by @Joffey):
@Joffey
@steverob
@Whorty
@Spartak
@JLaw
@DCLane
@Johnsop99
@MichaelO

Yeah I think we are down to 5 riders with @peterob living the high life in Cat A! 👏
it looks like we are moving to the earlier EMEA East timezone (1815 start time) as some of our more elderly races are having trouble getting off to sleep after the late shifts 😂😂
any volunteers for the #23 squad before we come looking....

I wondered what had happened at the start, I was expecting to see you ahead of me. Didn't know where your mate was on the road ...

A good workout for me. HR still way too high but I hit some Ok numbers overall although was suffering when we got to the finish.

First race in a few months this evening after being ill. My son usually does this Wednesday night series but he was busy so Dad took over. Due to the gap I got down-graded from a B/C to a D. The plan I had worked: the D's usually trundle round and sprint the last 5k. Me? Go hard early, jump on the B/C's and draft, hopefully splitting the D's. In the end I drafted an A and a B much of the way but got into a last 5K sprint-off with a non-Zwift Power B rider so ended up over the 2.4 w/kg limit - hopefully I'll be OK :unsure: Race wasn't too hard and HR stayed low: https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=1417306

The C Team is registered! Or as it shall be known from this day forth... CCC Team... (Cycle Chat C Team) - some bunch of Pro chancers might have nicked our name but we claim copyright on this one on Zwift.

As previously stated we are the support team for #68 so don't you guys worry about numbers, we got your back. We are the virtual version of Rock Racing... :laugh:

Well I hope I have registered it all correctly - I'm sure we'll find out closer to the time. I also messed the name up, it should have been Team CCC but I've had a few beers...

God speed :becool:

That looks like you'll be riding against us - WTRL Wanderers.

I guess I'll be barred from this forum now!

A shame that you’ve had to miss your tour, but congratulations on the birth of your baby.

If you want to race every week you may well have the opportunity. It will probably be up to you - if you want to rest then that’s fine of course but we don’t have huge numbers so you can probably race most or all of the events 🙂

@IrishAl - the 18:15 start is too early for me. Children’s bedtime at 18:00 - 18:30 so I have a clash there!
