@bobinski @peterob I looked at those. It's the 3 month+ wait I'm not keen on.

Also I'd have to drop back to 28mm tyres as the 32's I run will need to be inflated above the 70psi max according to Hunt :cursing::cry:

The other thing is I was looking at upping the profile of the wheel to about what the bike should have come with, 32mm, the hunts are 25mm .

I'll keep looking. I just need to find the right VFM for me. It may mean spending more than I really want to .

Boxers. At your weight Id suggest 32 spoke minimum, even 36 for the rear.

How big will your frame take tyre size.

Light bicycle can supply rims only or complete wheels, if they have what you want. I run 40mm G Ones for general riding at 48-55psi.

Internal rim widtgs have got much wider recently, giving more strength amd better tyre seating for bigger tyres.
Here is an example.

They were quick to reply, like within the day. I asked about complete wheels, bit ended up buying just rims, because I wanted 28 spoke wheels front amd rear- you know Im no lightweight either.

They will make a rim with your specific hole request

Send an enquiry to see what they can suggest :okay:

The cube comes with 32c tyres. It's designed to take 35's max.

Nice....
Part of my job involves the production of plasterboard... 😉

Can you make it lighter :okay:

12.5mm Moisture resistant 31kg per sheet, 32kg for 15mm and 25kg for the run of the mill 12.5.

Funny thing is once Ive hauled the heavy sheets the 12.5mm feels like a feather.

I had to buy a lift for the ceilings, not as young as I once was:B)

Reason Im doing it, is my plasterer now refuses to do the boarding, coz its too physically demanding

He's only 40

Some of the sheets we produce weigh in at 49kg... 🤪

Does anyone else find erg mode basically impossible?

Wonder if it is as I would have a naturally low cadence but I can't be doing with it at all

What do you find impossible about it? Particular types of effort e.g short ones where lag can be a problem or long ones where hanging on at the end can be a problem and sometimes brutal?

I love ERG personally because I can leave the trainer to ensure I’m hitting the required numbers in a session and then focus on something else (I.e a TV show).

On my Kickr,. I could use any gear combination and ERG control was spot on. On my Neo 2 I can get control by using the inner chainring and mid to low gearing on the cassette. If I try the large chainring, I get 50W fluctuations whilst the turbo struggles to control resistance.

My BIL used Trainer Road on his Bkool pro. Even though he had low power output he had to use very low gearing for bkool to hold a steady resistance.

Just find it harder perceived effort to hold the power and slow way down very quickly.
