Can anyone recommend a good series to watch on Prime video whilst training?

Currently watching Mandalorian in training sessions which is great because it’s easy to watch (not much brain power required) and full of action which really helps get through intervals.

Can anyone suggest something similar that’s full of action and easy to watch on Prime? 🙂

Ive given up getting too exercised about trainer accuracy. Not much any of us can do about it and we all just have to worry about our own races.

That is of course the most healthiest of perspectives. I do try and focus on my own numbers above others. But in reality if we didn't also notice other people's and how they attained them, then this thread would be a whole lot shorter! We are generally competing against other people so it's impossible to pretend we aren't effected by them.

weight / height doping
sand bagging
trainer accuracy

Anyone here try and pretend at least one of those things doesn't bother you to some degree and I instantly call BS! (Your post histories will condemn you 😄)

I like watching sport documentaries sometimes. Can't get more brainless! Amazon prime only or Netflix an option too?

Just watched Official Secrets on Prime, a film so not too long, but very good.

Check out DNA on bbc iplayer very good series, but with subtitles.

Eep. Entered a race at last minute to check trainer calibration/new tyre and tube.

Didn't realise it was a mass start hilly 4.3km sprint race. Without a warm up that was basically asking for a heart attack. New tyre making less racket but the wheel is definitely not perfectly round! Should do the job though 👍

Is prime good for original shows? Tend to stick to films in it. All4 has a surprisingly good bank of shows

Well. Done my first 100mile on the turbo yesterday and I can walk today :okay:
I joined team IRL charity ride yesterday set off with the intention of sitting around 2.5w/kg and seeing how it panned out. all distances 50km,100km 162km and 200km all joined at the start thankfully so go into a good group where turms on the front were around 3w/kg and there was plenty of people taking turms which was good. Stayed together until 80km where I took a break to fill bottles etc. probably should have stayed with the group until the 100km as when I returned i thought id roll for a bit until another group came around but that didn't happen I joined up with 2 germans who I rode with for another 40km until they left  so the last 40km was very lonely and was a real struggle to keep going but hung on until the bitter end and finished 2.6w/kg 211w, moving time of 4hr 20mins. soo much harder than a 100 mile outside.

I logged on and saw you were up to 97 miles at that point. Think the average was well over mph. Crazy fool! Well done mate 👍👍.

Do you think the nature of doing a century on the turbo is tougher. Or that your approach with rest breaks and good stops was different? Or just that sitting on the turbo that long is brutal!

I’ve not done one online.

I've got to 140Km and had to bail, as just sitting on the turbo for that long is eye watering ... That and the fact that I hit all the hills at silly watts aiming for 30 day PB's ... yeah that was a mistake.:laugh::laugh: ... If solo (Are you INSANE???? ) taking a 15 minute comfort break, for cake, and swapping shorts / Jersey is easier than in a group ... especially an organised one.

Must get back to doing the BMTR Fundo's again:okay:

Kudos @Brendan Parker

the route was volcano flat which has a couple of really really short ups, I made a point of standing each time the road went up a bit which helped a tad. If there was a next time, id pick a route with some longer climbs to mix it up a bit.
i was fine when with a group as watched a bit of Netflix and it went quite quickly, as it was a organised event there was no one else on course only the participants, by the time of the last 40km that wasn't many and was soooo boring. I've got this bike quite well set up now so was comfortable considering it. All the 100's I've done outside with the exception of ride London a few years back have all been quite social so to speak so just felt easier. more a mental game on the turbo id say. I wouldn't want more than 1 stop on the turbo as it really was a struggle to get back on after 80km:blush:

I did a 100 mile group ride several years ago. It started out with a big pack, which slowly whittled down to some 20 riders. I began to really suffer at mile 75 and got dropped around mile 84. I rode the last miles solo. I went under 4 hours for time.

It was probably the hardest ride Ive ever done on Zwift or even outdoors. I never ride constantly for 4 hours.

Those days are behind me thank goodness:biggrin:
