Sounds like a decent ride Del and good to feel positive.
Me though, I though I would improve on Richmond and had a mare of a ride unable to sustain power, falling off the lead group on the climb and then stuck in no mans land with a rider who had 2 team mates just ahead and so didn’t want to bridge to them. We had a pleasant exchange in which he rejected my exhortations! 😁 Still, shows the way this series is causing us all to ride for our teams. The gap grew to over 2 minutes. 80th place I think and a poor time. May drop out of the TTT tomorrow and get some rest. We need it at our age 😀
Sounds unfortunate, and its the way it seems to go in these races.

Falling off the lead group, I spent most of the Richmond stage after Libby Hill in No Man's Land. Working like crazy and getting nowhere!

Better luck next week!

I would like to see the transcript of your exchanges with your fellow rider last night!

Looks like I'll be off the bike for a few days ... developed a nasty looking blood blister on my under carriage  Probably should have stopped riding today when I felt something sore but like a numpty who was halfway up the hill I kept on grinding  Hopefully it will shrink over the next few days - anyone else ever had one and can tell me how long to stay off the bike?

Nice one Nick - even better!

I notice that guy's teammate came second so has now got points for the win - and based on his points it looks like he won ALL the KOMs and Sprints too!! His 95% of 20 minute power is also over 4.2w/kg and he's a Cat A as well so he must have only just scraped through the WTRL analysis.

The guy who won our race wasn't far off that power, having averaged 4.4wkg himself (not currently DQ'd though)
Nick, we could ask our team captain to complain about the second rider.

Well volunteered @mjd1988

There are comments on ZP from a couple of other teams who are a bit miffed too (Zestria the main one).

 to be fair was kind of waiting to see the 20min power but was always planning on flagging a few to race control. Maybe 3 or 4 are totally gaming the system, although to be fair the worst have been spotted so their algorithm seems to be better than zpower

Didn't notice the height DQ one though! Wonder if they asked him if he was actually 4 foot nothing before the dq!

Rest, sudocrem and hope it clears quickly would be my guess

Changing the subject slightly... what happened to the sterzo? Do they still use steering in races? I’ve not seen it mentioned in ages. I really thought that was going to take off much more than it has.
I think they only run a limited number of steering enabled races under the futureworks banner. I was all set to order the Sterzo in the summer when it launched, so close I was about to hit the button when the last stock item must have sold and it disappeared in front of me. In hindsight im glad that happened as i think the novelty factor would have worn off by now and it’s not needed in races and I don’t see it catching on.

As Michael say, sudocream and rest. If it’s not infected it should go down quick enough - a day or 2. If it gets infected then you’ll be off longer. I’ll see if I have a picture here...

I thought long and hard on whether or not to call out last nights winner in our race. in some ways I wouldn’t want to be classed as a sore loser, but at the same time Carlos Gordon’s improvement was out of this world, so clearly a sandbagging ba$ket, or else a power meter gone wonky. He’s now well into the Cat A bracket it he repeats that effort. But having thought about it I’ve posted on Zwiftpower. Cheating heure! If he does get a DQ we might be promoted to first place keeping up our 100% record 🤓

I think they’ve made a rod for their own backs really haven’t they mate. With the best intentions I’m sure. I do think everyone going over the limit should be reported when I think about it. Just to get more clarity if nothing else.

That was the plan, but as the riding has been going so well I'll go mad no being able to ride :banghead: We have a carer come in for respite time on Thursday afternoons so i normally try a 3 hour ride ... looks like I'l go for a walk instead if it stays dry ^_^
