That sort of implies you would be happy losing your left one though :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Funny that Norry and I had the same suggestion ... I was thinking of low cadence high power drills out of the saddle ... The issue I have with doing something like that is the temptation to collapse back onto the saddle at the end of the interval!:ohmy:
That's why I'm going to avoid that for now. i know what I'm like, I'd then convince myself that I can just roll for another hour after the out of saddle intervals and that may not be the best thing to do. Should be Ok I think to get back on Saturday :okay:

As for my left buttock .....

FWIW we at #68 have posted on ZP and emailed WTRL when we think clear evidence of , err, cheating .

To be fair I think some of these things we're seeing may not be purposeful, cynical cheating and it may often be inadvertent. There's a lot of people in this league who are really new to Zwift racing, so just finding their feet with everything. We also don't know what hardware they're using. I remember my Bkool Pro every now and then used to show way higher watts than it should - I learnt to spot it quite quickly when it happened and turn it off an on again to sort it out. Something like this may be the case with the guy who won our league, and with little experience on Zwift the first time this happens it is plausible that you don't realise what's happening.

That's not to say anomolies shouldn't be reported or corrected - I'd just hesitate to call people cheats unless I was 100% sure of all the facts etc. (although I'm also not naive enough to think there aren't cheats out there for real - there always are!)

Just rode the ZHQ FutureWorks Crit City Race on the Downton Dolphin course, what I didn't realise when I signed up that it was a 'Boost' race which gives you the bonus of charging a battery, whilst losing power to enable you to gain power later by hitting the Boost button.

I charged my battery to 50% in the early part of the race thus enabling me to use two boosts later in the race, the only downside to this is the +5kg weight penalty you endure and boy does that make a difference... 🤪

Agreed.
Any complaint or accusation has to be evidence based and that’s what zp and strava are for. I wouldn’t suggest calling out anyone on FB. An email to WTRL with the relevant link is enough.

I raced one of these about a week ago on the same course. I didn't particularly like it, but that may have been influenced by trying to manage the "boost" with the ATV remote. I'll probably give it another try with the companion app, but so far I'm not a fan.

I chose the balanced boost IIRC. With the idea that I didn't want to add a lot of weight and that the boost was long enough to help me on the cobbles. I used it a lot more than you though -- I probably charged/discharged at least a half boost every lap.

Had another punt at the Alpe today. Managed to improve my PB from 56:59 down to 53:35 and in the process ramp up my FTP to 283. Looking back I quite enjoyed it. At the time, especially that second tunnel; awful

I like the Alpe. Think I prefer it to Ventop and my least favourite is the radio tower climb - that always feels like a sucker punch right at the end!

Ventop was average, Alpe is brilliant, it’s relentless.

Radio tower is also good, I remember thinking oh I’m nearly there, then this concrete wall appears and it’s like riding through treacle 😆
