Great ride there Paul , noticed you were pushing on the descent too , no resting in super tuck , or doesn’t super tuck work on the TT bike . Tough time to beat .💪
I wasn't sure about the aero tuck so yeah I did push a bit - had no choice but to have a bit of a rest as well though!

You're always welcome in C mate .... the more the merrier :okay:

It might have to happen soon - I have finished in the top 3 in my last 12 Cat D races.

I'll probably stick in D and see if I can get 6 races in this series. I imagine ZP will bump me up if I get a couple of races like tonight but if it doesn't then make the choice to start just entering C races when this one ends.

It's getting lonely in D, there isn't many riders entering so the races just pan out the same. Would be nice to try some different tactics for a change.

You could do what I do ... join a few C races, on the kind of courses that suit your strengths, and see how it goes. But stay in D for this series. I love having the choice of riding B when it suits and learning how to hang on to the B's whilst only pushing C numbers. At least then when you are thrown into C by ZP you'll know what to expect ^_^

If it helps, I think you rode really well last week in the CC race (ignoring your solo attack!) and held on to the group really well - we were pushing C numbers so I think you'll be surprised by how well you do on the right courses (stay away from the hills  )

Well done tonight chaps. Another race safely navigated! And bloody strong from bridgy too!

I’ve put a rough list together for Wednesday. It’s not the end of the world if we don’t know for sure who’s coming because I can adjust it on the line. But could you guys confirm if you think you’re going to make it or definitely not going to, by quoting this post or tagging me with your answer. Cheers!

So last week's race reporting. All were the 8 lap "bell lap" course. Racing with the C group.

Monday: After a week off my foot could fit in a shoe again, so it's back off to the races. Very light turnout . I thought with a week off I figured I'd be fresh and strong. But overall it was a dud of a race. #4 of 8 on ZP. Nothing remarkable in the #s. Guessing the poor turnout was due to the France discovery rides going on.

Tuesday: Had a sensor glitch while in the pens. Got it fixed and saw the counter at 0 when I got back to the main screen. With a strong effort I was able to catch the lead group and hang on for 5 laps or so. Felt bloody hard and with the heart rate spiking I had to let them go on the rollers. NP was highest it's been in 2 years. So I guess it made sense that the race felt hard. #5 of 8.

Thursday: Lost the lead group fairly early and did a fair amount of solo riding before the 2nd group caught me. Took 2nd in the group sprint in the end and 9th overall out of 23. 20min power of 2.52 was enough to push me into C officially as I'd been sitting at 2.49xxx across my 3 best efforts.

Fri: Unremarkable. #15 of 26. Crappy day at work and just plain tired. Cranky as hell the rest of the day.

Fastest race was Tuesday which makes sense as I think I held onto the lead group the longest, but none were particularly fast.

Not sure if I'm racing or climbing this week. Depends on how insane work gets.

Ha cheers. Aye, I'll keep my eyes out for some flat ones over the coming weeks on your advice and see how I get on. I'm hoping that this week I can win a race on the Champs in D (if there is such a thing) and then mentally bow out of D and think seriously about C.

I think I'll just count myself out as it's unlikely. I'll maybe try and set a time this weekend if the weather is grim!
