Do you have a link, I can't find anyI think a good way is to use Garmin pedals, strip down and refitted into Shimano SPD. There are videos of it being done.
1 @peterob i also spent a lot of time looking at these tracking things a few years ago , there was only 2 options really - one relied on Bluetooth so once your bike was out of range of anyone in the community-using the app then it was pointless and the other was a monthly contract that I didn’t want to sign up for but maybe I should have , I haven’t looked for ages so I guess things have moved on so I ain’t no help sorry
2 @BurningLegs - whatever your trainer says there is no escaping the fact you are putting in big efforts going by your heart rate so your keeping fit - what has got to be the main thing IF your trainer is over reading then it doesn’t take away the fact your riding hard - of course this also means that if your trainer is over reading and you were to move to A different source ,then it might be like someone has tampered with your brakes to make them bind - what would please me no end 😁 ( probably not the best reason to shell out a load of money on a trainer , granted ) ( but also may get tommy to sort out his over reading problem )
But it’s only an IF it’s over reading
If you were concerned could you borrow some other device to check ?
or just leave as is cos it doesn’t matter - this group has always had different trainers amongst us and it’s accepted because it’s all a bit of fun
Only time it becomes heated is when someone tries to deceive by blatantly cheating , not only cheating himself but spoiling fun for others - totally pointless as there isn’t prize money or sponsorship
it’s fun trying to chase you down at the minute even though I am failing its keeping me fit 👍
I hope this comes across as a genuine response that I For one don’t care what trainer your using as we are just playing —- but sow a little seed of doubt what only a shiny new trainer would sort 😁😁
