Did anyone do the Feltet race yesterday? If so, how did it go?

Pretty good Tour for All 2020 for me till the chain drop from the bigger chainring, i lost time at least 2min. Reason was lousy shifting from me. I was in a good group when that happened, after that i maintain about 37km/h on my own before i join the group what catch me and i finished the ride with that group.

Good to see another CC'r today, well in the pens anyway, I went off with the intention of an easy one, got involved with group too fast for me really,
so thought id play the game and see how long I could hang on for, made it. unlucky with the chain

I was pedaling out of the saddle and same time i change gear to 11th sprocket because i try to take over sandbagger fast as i could to stay in a group where i was and then it happened. I adjust front derailleur a bit, hope it keep chain better on a ring.

Yep looks like Steen got 151st of 217 in B. Busy race as you say.

I plan to finish the DBR Wahoo League (3 more Mondays now) and then decide what comes next. I do quite like Leagues and/or regular events.

I get a lot of out of the league's. Forces me to do hilly courses as well as finish races if be tempted to bail out of, mainly due to the team aspect. Quite enjoy the tactical aspect of studying videos of races, learning about rivals...then doing the same thing each race

With 7 C cat riders I was tempted to drop out on Monday, but @CXRAndy beat me to it and I had to stay on  Thankfully I eventually got a second wind and didn't finish too badly in the end .... well, no too bad considering how rubbish I felt when you guys dropped me

I'm with you - race series are good as you face the same guys each week so learn their strengths and weaknesses. Love the team aspect too, at least I do when I have the legs to play a role :shy:

I had a look at where I bailed. I should have tried a little harder to stay in the pack over the bump.

Still getting aching legs, gentle rides do seem to be helping. I must be getting old/er😲

You was probably only 10 seconds from cresting - I'd assumed you'd had a mechanical. But then, I didn't even make it that far before being dumped

I never seem to know where i am on the London routes, because the gradients changes are subtle mostly.

It was more a mental attitude due to not feeling great. I was coping reasonably around 168-172bpm. I didn't like the feeling at 174/175bpm. If I'd been more determined to compete and hang tough, it could have been so different 🤪

Complete turn around in form tonight.

Turned up for the DBR league on Monday with really achy legs and bailed after 0.5km because I knew I just didn't have it after racing 3 times the previous week plus a couple of long rides at the weekend.

2 Days off and tonight I rode my clubs Time Trial on Innsbruckring. 2 laps and 11 miles. I rode 26.46. 13.20 on the first lap at average of 271W and 13.26 on the second lap and 266W. Felt really strong and held it the best I ever have up the Legsnapper.

No PBs because we were all on TT bikes, but at the other end of the scale from Monday.

Got my second Team Time Trial riding for WTRL tomorrow. One lap around Out and Back which includes the Volcano Climb. I think its going to be a killer. I'm assuming the ZSUNR boys are riding it tomorrow and Al for Team Ireland?

I ended up jumping into the ZHR masters age cat race on Tuesday evening. They had 4 categories listed in 10 year age blocks but in reality their results are split into 5 year blocks. It’s a new series - 12 weeks I think. There’s no soft riders in the age categories. the race was All cats starting together and course was 2x sand and sequoias so twice up Titans Grove. I was dropped from the front group on the first lap, rode then with a small group of 5 with 2 others in my age group For the remainder. I knew from Zwiftpower life which rider to watch so I marked him on the climb on lap 2nand knew I could take him in the sprint for minor places. 5th in the 40-45 age group. Praying for a flatter route next week. Im gonna make this series a regular for the next while.

ive got the WTRL TTT tonight riding for the IRL Jalapenos in the Frappe class which is limited to 3 max A riders. Not looking forward To the volcano. The team did a recce on Monday and there is a lot of opportunity for teams to be split going over the top and down the volcano. Good luck Del.
