Racing in D, barring any disasters at work that keep me away. Won't quite have the Tron bike in time - did Surrey Hills today and that brought me to within 2,500 feet of the challenge goal, so probably only a week's worth of riding to go (or one trip up the Alpe), but am happy with the Cervelo S5 for now.

Flip it's over 40km tomorrow with the lead in. One downside of not having a preview write up is that you are never quite sure what sprints count (it doesn't seem to be all of them)

I think that is shown on Zwiftpower here - https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=687961

Looks like only one sprint though - about 5.7KM in, and on a gentle downslope. Hopefully I will still be in the main group at that stage but I'm not going to count on it!

If/when I get spat out, I will see whether I feel like doing a sweetspot/over-under session or would prefer to pickup a new group.

Hope you can make it as so far it’s me and thee!

What do you think the plan should be? Try to stick with Jason B and then try to outsprint him at the end? It’s gonna be fast for 25 miles

The first three times through the finish line, e.g. all of them except for the actual finish itself, will count for Sprint points.

It all depends on how strong the group up front are. Last time myself and Tim managed to jump across to the lead group (which was basically all Bs and Cs) and held on for as long as we could. That for me only ended when we hit the hills, which is less of a concern this time around. I will certainly try that again, but can't guarantee I'll be able to - easy to miss a gap forming, plus hanging on doesn't always work.

I think your sprint is stronger than mine, so you may be better off staying with JB, saving as much energy as possible and trying to pinch the win on the line. If I don't make the front group, or get dropped from it, then I'll try and stay with JB's group as well (I'm assuming he won't be in the very front group cause he needs to manage his w/kg carefully).

Remember there's only one point difference between 1st and 2nd across the finish line, but it's a two point difference at the sprints, so we'll have to beat him every lap if we want to outscore him overall.
