Im going to do the feltet race next week as I'm on call next Monday, but otherwise will finish the DVR league as long as that's where most of us are.

I see Petersen is down for both this week, but he is undead

It all depends on how strong the group up front are. Last time myself and Tim managed to jump across to the lead group (which was basically all Bs and Cs) and held on for as long as we could. That for me only ended when we hit the hills, which is less of a concern this time around. I will certainly try that again, but can't guarantee I'll be able to - easy to miss a gap forming, plus hanging on doesn't always work.

I think your sprint is stronger than mine, so you may be better off staying with JB, saving as much energy as possible and trying to pinch the win on the line. If I don't make the front group, or get dropped from it, then I'll try and stay with JB's group as well (I'm assuming he won't be in the very front group cause he needs to manage his w/kg carefully).

Remember there's only one point difference between 1st and 2nd across the finish line, but it's a two point difference at the sprints, so we'll have to beat him every lap if we want to outscore him overall.

He does manage his power well and seems to know who is sandbagging and who isn't. So agreed, stick with JB and try and beat him on the sprints :okay: No crazy solo breakaways then going for suicidal glory!

It is probably worth keeping half an eye on zwiftpower live

Just looking at the DBR races over the last few weeks and there has predominantly only been me, you and JB in the top 5 that are still Cat D. The others riders that have appeared have all moved up to C apart from one - so as long and JB is watched like a hawk we should finish up there regardless of the sandbaggers. And if, by some miracle, the long flat doesn't suit JB and he struggles we can maybe both take advantage of that. Should be interesting tonight - really looking forward to it.

I presume that will filter out all the riders that aren't on Zwift Power so we can see who we are really racing against, rather than the sandbaggers?

That's my understanding of it. You can also see how close people are to the limit of c cat power, so if JB is over the limit and you are under you would know that if you attack he can't go with you or vice versa.

Edit: I've never used it so not sure how "live" it is or if it just gives snapshots every few minutes

Interesting! I'll give that a go tonight then. Cheers!

It'll be good to hear how you get on. Has anyone else used it during a race?

Not tried it during a race. However, you can have a look at it now. Select a race that is going on at present and then click the LIVE tab. You'll see it updates every 30 seconds. This is where a Discord equipped Directeur Sportif would be really useful if you are at the sharp end

I think it does depend on how busy the ZwiftPower servers are as to how frequently the updates happen.

On the first Feltet.dk race that I tried to record for YouTube purposes, I accidentally buggered it up and somehow ended up recording my ZwiftPower window (that was in the background) instead of the actual Zwift window.

After the race, I was morbidly curious and so decided to watch the video back anyway, just to see what ZP showed, but it only seemed to update a handful of times automatically. However that did happen to be an occasion when there were a LOT of other big races happening simultaneously, so that could have affected it. So on that occasion, it wouldn't have been much use to see who was in what position and what power they were outputting, but you would at least have gotten to see who WASN'T on ZP and so know who not to chase.

I'm in tonight but don't know how much of a showing I will make. I'm currently suffering aching legs pretty much all the time! I don't know what's causing it:eek: Hoping it will pass in time
Hope it gets better soon. I have fatigue legs so i try to take easy few days and no cycling for next 4-5 days.

Is it thighs?

I used to have aching thighs most of the time when I was training - and it wasn't until I went to see a PT for a general checkup and look at my sore knee that he told me my thighs were very tight. Previously people always used to say you must keep stretching your hamstrings if you are a cyclist - but he said my hams were too loose if anything and prescribed simple thigh stretches.

SInce then, my knee pain is pretty much gone and I rarely have over-fatigues thighs.

My good lady also got me to do a yoga pose Vajrasana - which is basically kneeling down and sitting back on your heels and that has also helped greatly.

If it isn't your thighs ....... ignore everything above
