I organised my club's Saturday virtual club run again. 43.8 miles around the London Triple Loops route. 27 of us out today.
We tried a virtual cafe stop today. Rode around 23 miles with Discord open until we reached the top of Box Hill.
We all stopped for 30 minutes, went indoors for a coffee and cake and most of us joined a Zoom video conference call so we could all chat and stare at each other. It was just like having a chat while sitting around a big, virtual cafe table, although one of our group was still complaining that no-one had brought him any beans on toast!
Then 17 of us completed the full route which ended with a 2nd climb up Leith Hill before finishing at the bottom of the descent. It all worked very well. Maybe we should try a Cyclechat social ride with cafe stop?
My only other, slightly splitty news is I've joined the WTRL Racing Team after last Thursday's TTT event. Just thought I'd give it a go as it gives me a few more options to race as part of a team.
I'll have to make WTRL my main team, but I'll be staying here to join in the fun on the forum. I'll also be able to carry on doing some Cyclechat races, such as DBR, as long as I toggle my team on Zwiftpower.
@Norry1 did it last week, so I know it works ok.
