Happy birthday @JuhaL

Don't drink a lot of whiskey, but I like an occasional Jameson.

Used to like an occasional Talisker as well and get to quite like a Laphroiag after a long struggle!

Very quiet here today on the cycling front

I did the Crit City race today and managed my best lap time and Prime time - and 1 minute power (in-race). Came 13th on ZP which I'm quite pleased with.

Then a bit later, did a 30 miler with Wendy. She has improved greatly over the last month and we averaged over 16.5mph which was brilliant.

Anyone alse wanna share their ride(s) today?

I take very easy today. I was at a work from 5:30am to 1:30pm and after that i join 60min World Social Riders group ride, route was volcano flat +2 laps. Maybe tomorrow something easy as well so i can exceed 300km at this week.

Good stuff Martin 👍👍

Nothing very exciting to report really. Signed up to a race with @bridgy and @Whippet at 16:15. Unfortunately Bridgy has a pc problem so he didn’t make the start line. Then the race sort of went passed both me and lee a bit at the start so that was that 😄. Lee’s choice next time, so I can only assume I’ll need my hiking boots, oxygen mask, and probably a Sherpa too!

I had a shot of each of my favourite whiskeys last night, Lakes Distillery no 1 and no2 .
On the cycling front decided to join the BMTR 90 km Fundo , 1000m of climbing , managed to find right company to keep it at tempo , had to grit my teeth a bit in last 20 mins . Couple of rides in with new Apple TV too and it has been faultless, so happy with that .
Looks likes suns back too so will get out IRL a bit next week hopefully .

I organised my club's Saturday virtual club run again. 43.8 miles around the London Triple Loops route. 27 of us out today.

We tried a virtual cafe stop today. Rode around 23 miles with Discord open until we reached the top of Box Hill.

We all stopped for 30 minutes, went indoors for a coffee and cake and most of us joined a Zoom video conference call so we could all chat and stare at each other. It was just like having a chat while sitting around a big, virtual cafe table, although one of our group was still complaining that no-one had brought him any beans on toast!

Then 17 of us completed the full route which ended with a 2nd climb up Leith Hill before finishing at the bottom of the descent. It all worked very well. Maybe we should try a Cyclechat social ride with cafe stop?

My only other, slightly splitty news is I've joined the WTRL Racing Team after last Thursday's TTT event. Just thought I'd give it a go as it gives me a few more options to race as part of a team.

I'll have to make WTRL my main team, but I'll be staying here to join in the fun on the forum. I'll also be able to carry on doing some Cyclechat races, such as DBR, as long as I toggle my team on Zwiftpower. @Norry1 did it last week, so I know it works ok.
