I think 4w/Kg is the lower limit? I’m just below that still.
You are to B cat what I am to C .. right on the edge ... probably just a few good rides away from being upgraded. This is amazing @<Tommy> and I think shows you're on fire at the moment :okay: Lee I think is also just creeping in to A now :notworthy:

As mentioned earlier in the thread RGT cycling are offering premium features for free during Covid as an attempt to grab as many subscribers as they can while everyone is using their turbos a noble gesture. https://www.rgtcycling.com/covid-19/

I did my first ever online group ride last night - an online HIIT session with Jasmijn Muller on RGT. I spotted that all the other participants had female names and it was only reading around afterwards that I found that she's setting herself up as a female-specific coach, which would have been a bit embarrassing in the real world but online - meh. Anyway it was quite a tough session.

Opposite for me, fair numbers for short time but fade due to carrying weight around. In contrast to you Carl, I can hang in early but drop off in performance. Should have listened to my school PE teacher who said I was always a sprinter physique.

Im not sure that was a kind way of calling me 'Chubby '

Watch out you will be wearing colourful lycra outfits ^_^

I don’t think so bud. It looks close there but it’s what I was saying before. It’s dramatically effected by the length of the race. Those top two results are both right on the 20 minute mark. I can’t sustain that for 40 or 50 minutes which is what most the races I do seem to be. So I’m a long way off really. Which is just fine with me because I’d prefer to not get booted out of races with you guys.
You could even get upgraded in a long ride as it's not the w/kg over the whole race, it's your best 20 minute section in any race. So even a 2 hour race, if you blast out the blocks and try to stick with the leaders but then blow up after 30 minutes and roll home over the last 90 minutes, could see you upgraded (dropping out of races like @bobinski does solves that problem as your effort is not counted in ZP  )

I mean in theory yes. But in reality no one races like that do they. If you look at my power for a 20 minute race (assume I’m on my limit). Then imagine doing that over twice the time at least. It’s just not realistic unless you were trying to beat your 20 minute power rather than win the race.

This links to the current stats for each rider except Bob- non CCer:whistle:

You can see how close or not to being bumped or you should manually upgrade

Looks like lee is top of the pile for 20 min w/kg and Pete is top for absolute 20 min power.

I should have added muchos respect :notworthy:

Don't think I'll ever be troubling the scorers in A Cat

Cheers mate. But I don’t think I’ll get there either. I thought I would a few months ago. But Like you say I’d need to find another 10 watts or so even in a 20 min race to get there. In a longer race I think I’m way of that. I realised a couple of weeks ago I can go as low as 75.5kg if I weigh myself first thing in the morning. Well it happened once anyway. But I don’t think I can sustain it over a day let alone consistently.

Also very happy racing you guys in B

looking at your results Tommy, there are quite a few 4W+ for 20 mins. It would only take a series of results to push you into well deserved A

I race like that sometimes if my aim is to try and hang on to the front group (I did just that in the Danish races) - I was blowing up after 20 mins, sometimes less, then having to recover before trying to hang on to chasing groups as they catch me. I think it was you that said this is what I should do to get stronger, as the more I do it the longer I'll be able to hold on and the better I'll get ^_^

Last night I tried the time trial course again. This may have changed figures a bit cos I went as hard as I could for 5 miles - there is no way on Earth I could race like that for 10, 20 miles
because .I am a skinny mini the wkg think is easier for me than someone bigger I understand that , I proper struggle to keep up on the flats and sometimes that takes away the advantage I have on the hills cos I have burnt out- if I get bumped up or down so be it - I have never won a race - I may as well not win in the right cat 😁

They aren't releasing that info, but it's linked to the 1 minute and 5 minute power ... so if there is a B in C (for example) and they have shot off the front and dropped all the normal C's, if the power is too high (based on this unknown algorithm) they throttle the rider's power. Apparently it's quite funny when the pack then catch the rider and the throttled rider can't respond  No glory for them so they might as well upgrade next time.
Well the only reports I've seen so far is that the throttling isn't working all that well yet. It's not bringing riders back into the pack if they blitzed it right at the start, as they're so far ahead by the time they get coned that it's good enough for them to stay away - maybe just maintaining their lead rather than it having it growing. But hopefully they'll up it a little more (or remove coned riders from the results).

Nice to see that I'm the fattest rider in Team Cyclechat! Shame it's not fastest
You may have a challenger for that title fairly soon - my weight on Zwift is from about three weeks ago when I was still being good diet wise. Haven't weighed myself since then and this last week I've been mostly eating biscuits and haven't been on the bike at all. I may be creeping back up above the 100kg mark again...
