In the last race we did there was a lead in section obviously at the start which had the sprint section.
Question: Does the sprint in the lead in count for points or not.
I might be wrong but I think it did...

That was marked on the route as a sprint I think although I can't be certain.

Is anyone using a wrist HR device like the fitbit or Whoop or Garmin watchy thingy me bobby? Do you find them useful or a pain to use and not worth the hassle?

Garmin Fenix H thing on my wrist. TBH I got it to record the odd bike ride to the pub and if I did a long walk. It's good but a bit expensive just to get your RHR.

Got another power cut and they’re digging up the pavements to find the fault unsuccessfully to date so there’s a possibility that I might not make the race later.
This happened on the last bank holiday I’m sure they are planning it all to get double bubble!!

Just going back to the ineos team Zwift race.
I worked out that the power they used to go up the Alp du Zwift was equivalent to my best Power output on a sprint.:laugh::laugh::laugh:
That’s frightening and I don’t want to think about that too much!!

I watched it live with my good lad yesterday and I was saying the exact same .... crazy numbers they were pushing. Rohan Denis was an absolute monster!

I've been using a garmin fenix 3hr and now a 6 to measure HR 24/7, as well as sleep etc. They are faily accurate, in line with my HR straps, both optical and electical.

There are many good wrist based HR monitors. My experience has been with garmin.

Take a look at the Forerunner 45 or similar (DCRainmaker FR45 Summery). The Garmin Connect App displays all sorts of info on your mobile including Activities, HR, 24/7 HR tracking, Trends on day, week, month etc.

Forerunner 35 could be a viable alternative.

I use my F6 to show up illness when I'm not feeling right, elevated HR and respirtion rate when not doing much.

The software is getting quite sophisticated in interpretting the data. it could turn you into a hypercondriac if you're not careful .

I use one of these:

https://www.scosche.com/rhythm-plus-heart-rate-monitor-armband

And I much prefer it to the chest straps. It always pairs straight away and I forget it’s there. Just got to remember to charge it between races. I don’t think I paid anything near that much for it though!
I use the Scosche Rhythm24, which is similar to the one @<Tommy> uses, but is a slightly newer version - the battery life is supposed to be better and it has one or two extra modes (that I don't use), but it's basically the same. And it is brilliant; I use it both for my indoor and outdoor riding and have not regretted buying it over any other HR strap/monitor.
