Agreed. Lots of sandbaggers. I got lucky bridging with someone at the start to the second group (surely the first group with any legal c riders) and then Carl carried me up the hills. Had a few power drop outs, mainly for a couple of seconds at okay times but had one with 2km to go. Ended up using most of my sprint to get back to the group for the sprint, just about managed it. I'm guessing there will be a few dqs.

Got lucky with that one. Just saw one person go and the saw someone dialling up to 8w/kg behind me and figured I'd go all for it and worst case scenario if I didn't make it carl was up the road anyway

Edit; loads of likely dqs in front of you andy. there were at least 3 b riders pushing our group, one of them even kept saying he was a b but kept pulling the group

Noticed too that Team Cyclechat was on fire today, splendid. I hope that success gives wings for me as well.

Im currently 12th. I can take a few positives from the ride. I was sat on the lav most of the day, so just cto sit on a bike for an hour huge plus

My cadence was much better and I felt more comfortable, albeit very on off power delivery to stay in a pack. My sprint peak was 947W with 909 for 5 secs. I lacked a bit of grunt for the hills so more work to do

Explains why I couldn't hold the wheel on thr climbs, I saw lots of 4+W/kg all the way up the climbs
