Damn ... I'm going to have to work hard tomorrow to help @mjd1988

C team we going to try Discord (assuming my headset turns up by tomorrow evening ^_^ )

Looks hilly to me, should be the other way around?
I'm going to try and get discord sorted tomorrow if I can find my Bluetooth speakers

Hi, I’m new to Zwift and racing, am friends with Joffey, could I join the the team and ride with you all? I’m CATD and came 11th in my first race according to Zwift power. I enjoy riding for fun and it would be good to be part of a team.
Let me know if I need to do anything else.
Thanks

Ketty

Hi all. Just catching up and seen my name quoted in reference to the assioma pedals. I can’t really complain at all about them. I’ve the Uno variety - left sided. In terms of reliability I’vehad them just over a year and half now - probably recharged them a handful of times so batttery life for me isn’t an issue. Recharging is done with a simple magnetic contact so now plugging in or removing charging port covers.

I terms of accuracy the only thing I can say is that now I’ve upgraded turbo to the Neo2 I’ve found an average 4.5% difference (neo2 lower). I’ve read around 3% can be attributed to drivetrain losses, and guessing that the tolerance on both assioma and neo2 is +/-1% then this would explain the 4.5% I am seeing. End result I’m now a high B rather than low A ^_^, and if I ever get to ride my bike outdoors again then I’ll have to remember my FTP numbers are different on the road compared to Zwift.

I’ve read the comments about cleat compatibility - this for me is a pain as I have 4 bikes, two pairs of cycling shoes, but now one pair is dedicated to the assioma equipped bike so I’ve no spare pair for the odd occasion I get a good soaking.

Something that I picked up in the neo Facebook group which may or may not be interesting (probably the latter...) is that the percentage doesn’t mean that it’s accurate to 1% in the sense that it’s no more than out from 1% out from the actual watt output. It means there’s a no more than a 1% variation. So for example one turbo can show 250w, another brand can show 260w, and theycan both claim to be within 1% accuracy.

(I did warn you it wasn’t that interesting 😄)

The KoMs tomorrow are about the same climbing as the KoM last week in Dino land. I plan to just try and stick at the front as long as possible and see if I can get a KoM point. Been resting today so hoping legs are fresh tomorrow.

Bluetooth headset that @kipster recommended have turned up so hoping we can talk tomorrow and we can actually tell each other how we're doing, rather than trying to second guess  Hoping it will help with tactics :okay:

Welcome Ketty :welcome:

Yeah no problem joining the team. Simply search for CycleChat in ZwiftPower and join us :okay:

There's a league that many of us (including Joffey) have just started racing in (first stage was lat week). It's the DBR league (you'll find it at 6:15 tomorrow in the ZwiftPower events). @Marino.g and @Joffey (the other CycleChat D cats who raced last week) will be pleased to have you on the team I'm sure. Just put 'CycleChat' somewhere in your Zwift name and try to choose a Zwift kit containing as much green as you can (so teammates can easily recognise you). The DBR league awards points to the top number of finishers of each category, as well as points for intermediate sprints and KoM's.

We are also compiling a CycleChat league using the results from the DBR league - to help engender a bit of healthy competition and banter amongst ourselves

Any questions just ask away on here.

Edit: There;'s usually an unofficial 'excuses' competition, chaired by @<Tommy> that certain individuals with dodgy knees etc like to make use of leading up to each race.
Thanks for this! I’ve joined the club and will ride tomorrow night!

Thanks for the warm welcome, @Joffey is the one with all the banter in our group of friends so I will leave that to him..... 😀

I’ll be there......I haven’t looked at the course yet but I think our tactics should be that you go for the sprints again but instead of pushing it when you completed it you can wait for me in my group hopefully and latch on. I’ll do the same on the Kom and see where your at.
Does that sound like a dads army plan or what :laugh::laugh::okay:^_^

I‘m buggered, the sprint is after the KOM so I’m just gonna try and get in a group and hope I don’t get dropped

Well, Fcuk you Uber Pretzel ... I'm back!!!

Just over 6 hours for the 140Km ... Well I wasn't going to pass up the descent of the Alpe ... Which I did standing. ... Very sore sit bones!:eek:

Endurance is getting there, I think I can try some of the 100km events now, that I used to do as a matter of course. That should put the final polish on it, and I can start to work on getting the power back

Snap!

This is precisely the same 'issue' I have.

4 bikes and 2 sets of shoes. You've never considered swapping all your pedals and changing both pairs of shoes to Look pedals/cleats?

I gave it about 5 seconds thought once but the cost put me off plus the wife gives me dagger eyes every time a wiggle parcel arrives so I thought I’d spare that for the essentials 😂

Well done it’s a horrible route , I couldn’t ride a bike for 3 days after I completed it due to a saddle sore, well done again

Is anyone using a wrist HR device like the fitbit or Whoop or Garmin watchy thingy me bobby? Do you find them useful or a pain to use and not worth the hassle?
