I don’t know but i can imagine it’s hard to get thoughts to somewhere else even when you try to do something about it.Getting to be a weekly occurance I'm afraid as she gets more advanced. She pushes on but it's all a bit stressful

Oops I forgot to save my ride when I fell off the turbo trainer ...just saved it there now...1:00:08! I’ll take thatYour ride hasn't appeared on Strava Al - the suspense is killing me!!
Well done mate, great effort. Bit of drafting on the flat before the climb plus a few more watts pretty much made up for the TT bike solo. Yep, going to be a tough ask keeping you from riding away with it in the finale. Now I just need to pick a course....Oops I forgot to save my ride when I fell off the turbo trainer ...just saved it there now...1:00:08! I’ll take that
302w av versus 298w (1:00:05) on the TT bike on Friday.
we were almost 30 seconds ahead of a sub one hour time at the bottom of the volcano KOM. You were so close to me one the volcano that I eased up a bit on the climb so we could work together on the return leg but it wasn’t to be.
Should make for a very interesting final round. You and Tommy have big 🎯 on your backs

I agree - I would have felt bad if Al would have lost out on that time he did solo on the TT bike because although it was against the rules, it was an awesome effort - and we got more benefit from drafting than he did with the TT bike (but that is the point - we're trying to encourage racing together rather than doing every race as a solo TT).
Glad it’s worked out the way it did Al, And well done @bridgy. Feels like justice. Especially considering we got our times outside of an organised race, it just seems fair and square the way it’s worked out.
And boy what a finale! It’d be great if we could all race it on the same day and just have a one off attempt considering how close it is between the 4 (or 5?) fighting for the medals. I’m not sure if that’s going to be possible for me unfortunately. I’ll try my best to make tomorrow race. But I have a feeling I’ll be doing it solo at some point.
Thanks both.I agree - I would have felt bad if Al would have lost out on that time he did solo on the TT bike because although it was against the rules, it was an awesome effort - and we got more benefit from drafting than he did with the TT bike (but that is the point - we're trying to encourage racing together rather than doing every race as a solo TT).
Can we have an update league table when you get a minute please @peterob ?
Final stage will be in Watopia - so feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions (I'm wary of using Alpe Du Zwiftthough because the meetups have never worked properly there)
I was thinking of doing The Muir & The Mountain route - https://www.strava.com/segments/21344251Thanks both.
I do feel a tinge of guilt for setting my best times on stages 2 and 3 outside of the meet-up events. I’m tempted to suggest that a 2nd effort outside of the meet up shouldn’t be permitted or in some way should be given a time penalty? I feel it takes away a bit from the spirit of the meet up. It’s Fair enough if one does both meet ups, or if one cannot make either meet-up and does a solo effort - but having repeated repeat attempts - I’m not so sure. I know it was like this in the bkool winter league days when almost all times were set solo. Anyone else feel strongly about it?
Finally it would be great if we could all make Tuesday evening for a big showdown. Tactics will certainly come into play. Bridgy if you get a course selected today I will put together a short brief for everyone in advance so we all know the segment start and finish points and the parcours.
@bridgy - I did the 'Sand and Sequoias' route on a training ride last week and thought that'd make a great course for our races. There's 3 climbs (but not too long) that would encourage some aggressive riding and some short sharp 'bumps' that take you by surprise to encourage attacks before a flat run-in.I agree - I would have felt bad if Al would have lost out on that time he did solo on the TT bike because although it was against the rules, it was an awesome effort - and we got more benefit from drafting than he did with the TT bike (but that is the point - we're trying to encourage racing together rather than doing every race as a solo TT).

Looks like a 25-30 minute route for most (based on the times in our Strava club) - definitley a candidate for a league race but perhaps a bit on the short side for a finale?@bridgy - I did the 'Sand and Sequoias' route on a training ride last week and thought that'd make a great course for our races. It might be a bit short though. I think it took me 35-40 mins, so would obviously be quicker at race speed.
I'll update the table now.....
