I think the default is erg is on for workouts only unless you disable it- which I usually do. You see the option on screen but that option is not available for a normal ride.
For normal non workout rides and this includes the socials erg isn't an issue. On a smart trainer resistance will change with gradient and power with rider input as it did on yesterday's ride.
The Pro is not very smart i seems then :cursing: . Think I will dig out my older Pro (with the metal glued stepper-motor axel) and see if things works better.

If you are using the ant fec profile it should be fine. Perhaps when in pairing screen and paired disconnect power supply to bkool and then reattach. I used to do this when pro gave me really silly watts advantage in Zwift. Different issue but may work.

The bkool vs zwift debate is endless, as we've managed to prove over the last year or so!

We did do some base building rides on bkool last Christmas if you remember but obviously things like that lend themselves much better to a bigger community. Bkool will surely disappear over the next few years. It's doesn't seem to ever really get mentioned in in discussions about trainer platforms. And we all know they've only got themselves to blame.
I enjoyed the Christmas group rides with you guys. Up to that point they were the longest rides I'd ever done.

well as of today I'm a tacx neo owner I'm planning on doing some of the workout on zwift any advice on which 1 and if they're any good
and Thursday will remain my bkool live CG league's ride

A most excellent choice.
Good idea to join the FB tacx NEO group.

I recommend an ftp test in TR or Zwift. If you do it in Zwift turn erg off. Oh, and enjoy!

I was there too.The plan was to take it easy today and do one of the tough workouts tomorrow. But idiot me moved the laptop and forgot to plug in the power :cursing:. Had get off the bike and find an extension cord. It took forever at max (rpm) to catch the peleton. I was in the heaviest gear doing well over 120 rpm, but only barely reaching 300 watt. I think there was some kind of auto erg preventing me from really pushing high power.
Ok, what could be more stupid than to forget to plug in the power cord?
Guess what was in the other end of that extension cord i found :shy:.

Yep, in my hurry to find some power for the laptop, I took the first extension cord in sight, which was the power for the Pro.

So maybe the Pro is smart after all - at least smarter than me:blush:.
