Currently riding Jon’s short mix workout on the road to ruins circuit. Won’t submit this time but will be interesting to see the it. Should be slower because of the power spikes...

Nice one Andy. Looks like you’re moving forward nicely mate. I might just do a few weeks of TrainerRoad myself. The job I’ve started is beating me up a bit and the load from TrainerRoad might be better than racing. Which block are you moving on to?

I will be moving onto Base Traditional mid level volume 2. 4 weekly 2+hr rides.

70-80% of FTP.

If you're time pressured and need to keep a level of fitness choose something a little less per ride, throw in the odd VO2 session

yeah I was thinking the same. Rather than doing a block I might just pick out a variety of sessions.

OK.....The final league table has been updated with the results from the catch-up rides over the weekend!

@IrishAl again sits proud at the summit of the CC league with 3 stage wins but was hard pushed, with @bridgy and @<Tommy> filling the podium places. There was a fair-sized gap between the top 4 and the rest of us also-rans.

@Del C had a strong month and continues his rise towards an (inevitable?) placement in B-cat and some strong late placings from @CXRAndy proves to be a good advert for TrainerRoad.

There's plenty of close competition up and down the league and I'm sure that'll continue in November :boxing:

Pleased with my end of October fitness. Results pretty much confirm my body type attributes and deficiencies.:biggrin:

Del proving too strong a climber, worthy B cat. :okay:

Carl, Chris pushed me hard in the Road to Ruins event.:heat:

There certainly is a gap with the front 4 B cats strong. Pleased I crept into the lower end B table.

Here is hoping I can build into November :hello:

Me too. Primarely focusing on endurance right now. Think I need to lay a good base before continuing with threshold workouts.

Lars, you've been putting in 2 hour rides day after day on Strava- presumably to and from work?
The plan is to do that until Christmas and then start workouts in the new year. Maybe throw in the odd Vo2 max'ish workout using the league, as you suggested.

Multiple back to back rides like that will do wonders for your base training.

Just watch out for cumulative fatigue.
 
Well done everyone, a good tussle this month!

How are classes/categories worked out by the way? Any prospect of Del being promoted out of contention in C cat? :laugh:
