@theboxers - how’s things going ? Hope the gym work is paying off without much pain 👍
Not too bad @berty bassett.

The gym is OK and helping with the fitness, but it's not outdoor road or indoor (zwift, brvr or Bkool). I am using different muscles and that can be painful. Also some days I can't arsed to go (not as stimulating as a ride).

Got my appointment for my scan, 17th Nov, so should know a bit more. Also had a letter from the consultant and it appears both legs have impaired blood flow, right worse than left, so the scan will be on both legs.

Hoping to be back up and running (riding) early next year. I just want to drop more weight and be able to do the ToC next year.

You will get there mate , good luck with the scan - is there something they can do to promote better blood flow ?

Pete, was it knickerbocker on week two? If so, I posted a time of 41:11 in the Cyclechat meetup on Tuesday 8th of October here:

https://www.strava.com/segments/19141299

But that's the time in week one so I'm confused! Was knickerbocker taken as the week one stage because of the fiasco on road to ruins in the first week? In that case - which segment do I need to do on Sunday to get a time on the board for week two?

Week 2 was the TT around the course 'Greatest London Flat'. Not sure if London is still on Zwift (so you may need to use the Zwift world hack). Remember to use a TT bike for your attempt. Good luck!

Edit: This is the segment https://www.strava.com/segments/16982511

You're right - Knickerbocker was taken as stage 1 as Road to Ruins was scrubbed due to the issues with the gravel.

I'll add the route details on future league tables (I'm full of good ideas today)

You should be able to use the hack to ride in NY world. You can then select the Nickerbocker route when you log on to Zwift on your PC.

Good luck if you do that Andy. Save something for the climbs ... they are pretty nasty! Don't forget too that the segment is Start banner to Finish banner - you will seed on the hill up to the Start banner, so don't push too hard up that hill and burn too much energy as that first little climb to the Start isn't included in the race.

Check the course out before you ride it, and look at maybe my ride to get a feel for your time targets. If you pace it right you should be able to leap me in the league 👍

Its quite a bumpy route, 5-6 min climb with 1min climbs scattered a plenty

Just wish for old bkool, power over the bumps before resistance kicked in:laugh:

If I do it solo, I might use TT bike

There are something akin to stents used to open blood vessels for better flow, but for legs. I'm hoping I can get some put in and be back riding ASAP. But I will not know until after the scan.

I will keep going to the Gym for the time being and work towards getting it sorted.
