Which segment are we picking for tonights event?

I must thank Carl for the moral boost a couple of miles from the finish :okay:

Well done Andy. Great effort :okay:

56:32 for me tonight. Mega chuffed with that ^_^. First time I've really felt power/stamina returning since the 'dog strike' injury. Hopefully it'll continue.

Got a bit of a shock when I realised that the map 'peak' wasn't the tower. Heart sank when the road turned left into 15%+ gradients

Where the stage was won or lost:

All four of us basically together (within 9 seconds) at the top of the mountain. Lee and Tommy gained time on the steep climb to the radio tower, whilst Al lost quite a bit on this section. Tommy ahead until the last 5km of flat to the end

That is a really cool graphic! Must have a play around on Strava. Up for the h and h idea as well sounds good!

Couldn’t get on the bike tonight either. This man flu has really kicked my arse. Took a man up pill but that didn’t work either. Gutted as wanted to finish the last stage. Does the league close today? Being last day of month?? Love the idea of our own Hare/hound race
We all have until the end of Sunday to complete/re-do any stages. We'll start the new league from Monday (with Tuesday being the first meetup).

Slower tonight at 59.58 versus 58.40 on Tuesday, but was happy with Tuesday's time, so I rode easier up the KoM, then gave it a bash up the Radio Tower and the descent.

Enjoyed the ride.

What happened @Breedon ? You were going well and then suddenly you'd gone. You ok?

Found @Whorty on the Radio Tower, but you didn't start the race with the rest of us.

Oh and well done @peterob . You gave it a big dig at the start of the KoM and you were gone!

That just leaves @CXRAndy. Looks like you started well and weren't too far back. Is the fitness coming back?

Yes I feel much better, not fading too much now. A bit lower than last year, but haven't started any proper power sessions. I was hoping to catch you and Dean at the bottom of the descent, but the concertina affect stretched too much. I saw 25secs behind at the top of the Pretzel, but that extended towards 2 mins at the bottom. Dean shame you felt hindered/assisted Carl cant watch unless he joins you in the event. I freewheeled with Tommy down the KOM on his ride. It really wont make a huge difference to your time unless the rider is properly leading you all the way along.

This could be your problem in group races. I find the hardest part in working in a small group like a race or team time trial usually immediately after you have done a big effort on the front and then try to get back into the draft. The effort really isn’t over until you have accelerated back up to the speed of the group, got into the draft and got your heart rate settled back down again. Lots of repeated small attacks aren’t good for a man of my age^_^
Yes, I think that's it. I can hang on for so long then i just pop. It's the power on, power off repeatedly that kills my legs in the end :B)

You're welcome. Like with dean I tried not to go in front but was trying to give you a bit of moral support. I know it really helps me when I'm on my @rse but now appreciate not everyone likes it which is fair enough.

I had exactly the same on Sunday. Went full gas to the “top” then realised it wasn’t!

I didn't have the legs for a race tonight, and didn't think I could better my time anyway, so did the special Halloween route to get the Dinosaur outfit. I then re-logged on to see where you guys were - I was hoping to see you on the flats but joined partway up the tower - problem is the 'pedal assist' that keeps you on the person you joined wheel, I found out tonight, is not time based (say 30 seconds) but distance. So I was stuck on Dean's wheel for 0.5km, which at those gradients was probably close to 4 minutes so I can see why Dean was pizzed. He probably thought I was taunting him, but actually Zwift left me there and nothing I could do about it. When you went past us I tried to follow but the 'pedal assist' was still locked on.

I’m up for the team race idea. I agree with al. We could muck about with the teams. Maybe move people around if they think they’re better off in a different one. Or make the teams bigger. But it should be a good laugh and definitely extra banter.

and that London course being so flat should be spot on for drafting.
