:biggrin: I think my wife loves me :wahhey::wahhey::wahhey:

Bianchi XR3, Potenza mechanical gears :okay: Test rode a Infinito CV with Di2 and Disc brakes but couldn't get excited by either. Preferred the look and styling of the XR3. Got a good deal off the guys at County Cycles. Hoping weather is good tomorrow so I can take it for a little spin!

Pure filth. Glad I'm wasn't in work when I opened that 😲

Very jealous, I wish you many happy miles on it!

@Whorty fulcrum 7s are good winter wheels as they have cartridge bearings so easy to swap out. Lots of options for upgrades. Campagnolo shamals for a good set of climbing wheels, no experience of deep section carbon hoops, something I need to resolve soon.

😻 Class bike @Whorty - health to enjoy!

There’s a race up the alpe tomorrow at 10:10 that I’m going to try and join. @Breedon and @berty bassett are signed up too I believe. I hesitate to use the phrase ”it should be fun”, but it is always nice to see the summit!

was hoping to ride out side this morning but the weather has other things in mind so signed up for this 😊

I had a chance to read some reviews. That is an impressive bike. It sounds like it dampens road vibration.

It does. And it's a great frame. But ...... i took it back today for a refund  When looking for wheels last night I noticed the price difference between the spec bike I had and others online. Anyway, short story, the guys held their hands up and said they'd priced it wrong and apologised profusely but, by then I'd given up on the bike was half way back to the shop to get a refund. Honest mistake, but has made me realise I jumped a little too fast yesterday and compromised on what I actually wanted. So taking a breather and going to re-look at the various bikes and make a more informed choice.

Wife is a little sad as she wanted to buy me a dream bike, but I think also pleased that I'm not settling.
