Hey @TurboTommy how are the injuries?

Are you expecting to be able to do RideLondon?

Hey Norry. No chance I make the start line unfortunately so I’ll have to defer my place. I’ve done some damage to my right leg which will take a few weeks to be 100% I think. But the wrist will be a couple of months minimum.

Regarding electric gearing I agree with you in the main. It is a luxury. I’d recommend getting wheel upgrades and power meter first if you’re on a budget. Mechanical and electronic both do the same thing if they’re well tuned. But I’d say regarding reliability electric is more reliable in my experience.

That's a shame.

Signed up to the 17:30 H&H again today if anyone interested in joining me. I'm demoted back to C cat, so you B boys are gonna have to work hard to chase us C's down :boxing:

Good to see you in the race @Whorty - you were super strong at the end there :okay:
Right up to where I was out sprinted by everyone

I tried so frickin hard to hold on to the A's and the B's when you stormed past. I was sprinting at 550 watts and hanging on with my finger nails :heat: I didn't last very long  So glad when I dropped off that I saw you and a few other B's behind so I could rest a bit then jump on to your wheels and hang on to your coat tails :okay: Really enjoyed that, and great to ride with you Paul :hugs:

You got Cat C Silver in that race @Whorty

And just to bring us down to earth, the winner of Cat B was a 13 year old who finished 2 and a half minutes ahead of me :surrender:

Looks pretty genuine based on his real world rides on Strava (obviously don't know what trainer he's using though). Only around 200 watts average, but he only weighs 50 kilos so high w/kg! Respect to him :notworthy:
Is his name Lee?

Is there a builder in the house??

Just want to know if anyone is familiar with Seeded / Revealed Aggregate concrete, as I'm planning on doing it for a driveway.

As it's 30+ sq metres in area am I being a bit ambitious to attempt it all in one slab. My idea is to go for 100mm deep, Low Slump (~60 Slump), fibre reinforced concrete, with a 20mm layer of decorative gravel spread on the top and tamped in while the concrete is wet, then gently wash and brush away the sand cement mix from the top layer to reveal the decorative layer.

Low slump because of the slope ;)

Honestly - it sounds ambitious and a little hit and miss
Personally if time wasn’t an issue I would mix it myself if not confident of one pour
, get the smoothest finish I could then resin and pea gravel
If you ain’t quick with ready mix , you could end up with one hell of a sleeping policeman !
Washing away the top coat doesn’t sound like a good thing to do weather wise - but I have never done it
