get the smoothest finish I could then resin and pea gravel
I do love the idea of a resin bonded stone layer, and it was my first thought, however, I have been told by three paving / driveway 'Experts' that eventually it will go green, because it allows algae to grow, and being a porous layer, the algae can't be shifted easily. It does however look stunning when done. I've seen exposed aggregate done, and it looks just as good, especially with a wet concrete sealer applied. From what I am aware, resin pathways/drives are not really a DIY proposition, requiring specialised equipment.

Yeah guess your right - but I will say if one thing will get algae on it , so will anything else you put there Concrete will crack even with fibres in it and that washing away top just sounds like an incredibly messy job even if you know what your doing Why not paviours ? Some look stunning and if you set out right then you might not need many cuts

I don't know what makes a bigger difference outdoor vs. indoor ride but i feel that i ride ascents irl better than indoors and sometimes even bigger gear. One reason is probably difference with inertia and bike wobbles freely when ride out of the saddle etc.
It’s probably the other way around for me. Climbing indoors is so boring I just mash the pedals to get off keeping good form.

LIVING THE DREAM
La Planche Des Belle Filles.

Dark on a BKool Air and Pap Tache was not far behind

I watched big names cry on this climb during the week and none of them were doing 60kph plus on the climb

Good training for your UCI ride.

Yep, but my plan is to not destroy myself this week - so I can't train for a while when I get back. Easier said than done - although I stuck to the plan today and didn't do the optional extra climbs.

The mighty Giau tomorrow

Here is the end result of my DIY cement job. View attachment 475447

Jack hammering up was far harder than work it took to do the lousy uneven pour.

so the battery powers the motor that is somehow fixed to the crank - was it easy enough to do ? any reason you didnt go for a off the shelf model ?
