so the battery powers the motor that is somehow fixed to the crank - was it easy enough to do ? any reason you didnt go for a off the shelf model ?

Hi Lee. Battery connects to motor controlled via display module. I didn't go premade because Ive built an ebike for £1k including the bike cost. I also have a custom firmware which allows a huge variety of adjustment.

Ive I thread in the ebike forum

We have just done nearly 20 miles. The wife has hip problems and would have never been able to do that on her old bike currently. She happily cruises at 16mph without breaking sweat, faster downhill, but effortlessly uphill. I had to draft today when on windy sections to keep up.

She loves it. We are planning a 40 miler to Woodhall Spa next week.

Here is the display.

Ive used heat shrink to tidy the cables. These kits fit any bike with a 68/73 mm width bottom bracket which is threaded. I can post link to where I got my bits n bobs if you're interested

They are really easy to install.

No spoilers ...... but if anyone is in 2 minds about watching the TdF highlights today, then I highly recommend that you do :okay: Cracking days racing.

There have been some great stages already haven't there? Especially for what looked like a few dull sprint stages.

I've been doing more watching that cycling lately, although did finally clean my chain for the first time in...ever.

Is there a race this week?

No riding for me this week until Friday I'm afraid.

I've managed to put my back out while washing the car - so I can't put my own socks on at the moment let alone ride a bike :headshake:

You have my sympathies. It is too easily done on something not remotely heavy lifting.

Mine is still fubar'd, I'm off to the Physio shortly. I think I'm in for the long haul with mine, unlike normal. I'll be chatting to her about alternate cardio exercises I can do without messing with my back too much.

I'm thinking swimming and yoga (For flexibility and core strength). With gym work to follow once I get over this back problem, yes I will get over my back problem .

I hope he doesn't do a Yates
I think the expectation from the likes of Millar is he will blow up at some stage as he has worked so hard already in this tour. To win a GT you need to sandbag teh first 2 weeks, and save yourself for the 3rd week. Yates failed to do that at the Giro last year and paid the price. Alaphilipe most likely will too. But man, if he ever learns to be patient and sit in wheels all day and let his team work, he'll be a GC contender for sure.

Maybe he's in the wrong team at the moment ... wonder if FDJ or AG2R will look to poach him - he'd be brilliant in either of those teams with their domestiques.
