I was thinking when I was doing those surges of pace that anyone watching but unaware we were racing would think I was the worst group ride leader ever!

I don't think people outside the meetup/race see the beacon?

Here are our relative positions in the race and a time marker at the bottom of Box. Paul kept surging trying, ,we now know to break Lee or wear him out. I kept appearing on the front I was trying to be more even powered. Me and Lee were dropped a little, but we managed to pull back onto the front chaps- a little bit of round robin by accident. The pace was very high upto the Box, where those nasty fast lightweights left me:cursing: View attachment 456428

It’s like I wasn’t there

League tables updated. We'll keep this league going until the end of March - so another three weeks.

Remember if you didn't do the meetup last night you can do the course over the next week and post your strava segment time here to be included in the league.

Andy, i like that feature- what part of summit or whatever it’s called allows you to do this?

Its on the Premium Strava. With so many options now, I dont know which levels have it or not. Its 'compare' tab when you go into a segment. You can have 5 riders to compare, filter clubs, ages, periods of year, compare against your own previous rides etc

Didn't realise Bob and I were so close to Steen, else I may have pushed a bit harder and worked more with Bob. I still have this view that once I've lost the lead group they are gone for the rest of the race, so I'm only concentrating on those chasing me. This was the case last night; instead of pushing hard with Bob, I was holding some back so I could react if @mjd1988 or @Milzy chased me down. I need to change my mindset and start to adapt to the new world of who I'm now chasing

I couldn’t see it. There were a few times I was worried I was going to take a different turn to the group. If you choose to ride with someone do you mirror their route?
Yes ... kind of ... you mirror the route they chose when they started in Zwift but if they do a manual turn you won't follow them but will continue on the original course they selected. Given this was a meetup you would be fine though as the course was set :okay:

I said to Lee last night that if that ride wasn't a PR for me (on the Neo) on Box Hill I'd give up - I was 7 seconds off my best time despite averaging 324 watts compared to 314 watts for the faster time

The reason is, the faster climb was done in the Tour De Zwift so a) I probably benefited from some drafting, even on the hill, and b) my weight was a kilo less than now. I need to go on the @Whorty diet
