Are you having a laugh??? It looks horrendously climby https://www.strava.com/segments/16786868

Yeah I mean I’ve only done it once but I remember it being punishing. Hill after hill the legs soon know about it.

Obviously if we set up a league on say a four week basis we could choose a variety of stages to make it balanced.

Not long enough or steep enough to really trouble the power riders. After yesterday some balance in favour of the lighter less powerful rider would be nice
Also, I'm not being funny, but the list of times for the Road to Sky on the Strava Cyclechat group is very similar to the finishing order of yesterday's ride so I'm not sure the terrain will make that much difference at the end of the day

Isn’t it every hill in London including box hill one after the other?

I don’t mind just racing up one of the mountains if that’s what everyone fancies. But undulating courses are a compromise for everyone.
London’s “Surrey Hills” route takes you on a complete tour of all the climbs on the London course, riding over each pass in both directions

We ended riding up Box Hill in exactly the same time Paul. I averaged 330W but am 1Kg heavier then you so it does suggest that your PR done in the Tour de Zwift did have some benefit of draft on the hill :okay:

We both need a bit of what Whorty's on (or isn't).
Mostly what I'm not eating rather than what I am  Friday is cheat day, so took HID out for lunch and had a ciabata and chips plus a slice of carrot cake (for later), but the other 6 days of the week it is very much no cheating! :okay:

Unless its one against one, then you always have a chance
Problem is, I couldn't see who was ahead last night, how far and if they were on their own so couldn't make that call. Would be nice if the riders list only showed those in the meetup ... I guess that will come at some stage.

I need to practice my high speed starts so I can hold on to the group early on - last night I started OK, but was at the back of the group, we hit 'neutral riders' and I got caught in a sticky draft. This dropped my speed by 5 kph, by the time I broke the draft the lead group was 10 seconds up the road and moving away. I pushed hard to catch Del, Milzy and Rob but no chance to latch on to you guys. I never expected to see Bob a few minutes later but that was a welcome sight

I'd like to vote for an event that lasts about an hour. Would like to have a bash at beating my best actual hour power
I was surprised when your time showed on the timings last night, as didn't see you in the race. Then saw that you rode it solo which is hard as no one to chance and no idea how you're doing. :okay:

Will most likely have to be a mountain/big hill of some sort to be more than an hour for most. It's a shame you can't set multiple laps for the meet up rides. You can set a time to ride for but I don't know how that will work for our races - it might stop when the ride leader has done an hour?
Or, choose a route like last night, but do 2 laps. The 'meetup' will finish when we cross the line the first time, but we just carry on riding for a second lap. We can then just add the 2 lap times together in Strava to get the 'race time'.

Can we do a hilly race in about 6 weeks, once I'm about 4 kg lighter
