I said to Lee last night that if that ride wasn't a PR for me (on the Neo) on Box Hill I'd give up - I was 7 seconds off my best time despite averaging 324 watts compared to 314 watts for the faster time

The reason is, the faster climb was done in the Tour De Zwift so a) I probably benefited from some drafting, even on the hill, and b) my weight was a kilo less than now. I need to go on the @Whorty diet
We ended riding up Box Hill in exactly the same time Paul. I averaged 330W but am 1Kg heavier then you so it does suggest that your PR done in the Tour de Zwift did have some benefit of draft on the hill :okay:

We both need a bit of what Whorty's on (or isn't).

Didn't realise Bob and I were so close to Steen, else I may have pushed a bit harder and worked more with Bob. I still have this view that once I've lost the lead group they are gone for the rest of the race, so I'm only concentrating on those chasing me. This was the case last night; instead of pushing hard with Bob, I was holding some back so I could react if @mjd1988 or @Milzy chased me down. I need to change my mindset and start to adapt to the new world of who I'm now chasing

The lead group are gone! but hopefully there's always someone in the middle. Sometimes that person will be you or me! If you are riding with another rider its always best to work together to push on. The strength of other CC riders suggest that should never be less than 3w/k or say 220 watts and ideally a bit more.

I'd like to vote for an event that lasts about an hour. Would like to have a bash at beating my best actual hour power
@Norry1 have a look through the available routes for either Watopia or London which will be the two available worlds next Thursday - https://zwiftinsider.com/route-details/

If you click on the strava segment link for any of the routes you'll be able to see your own best time, or if you haven't ridden it, just click on your followers or the cyclechat strava group to see times of others and get an idea of how long it will take.

I'm happy to set up a meet up ride for whatever course you fancy...

Mountain forward One lap:okay: For Andy

1h to 1h 20 for us? I have done it in 1h 12.

Actually mine and some others best times were likley pre NEO/Kickr

Will most likely have to be a mountain/big hill of some sort to be more than an hour for most. It's a shame you can't set multiple laps for the meet up rides. You can set a time to ride for but I don't know how that will work for our races - it might stop when the ride leader has done an hour?

Isn’t it every hill in London including box hill one after the other?

I don’t mind just racing up one of the mountains if that’s what everyone fancies. But undulating courses are a compromise for everyone.
