There is only a few seconds between each bike/wheel setup. Much less than 15 years in age difference

Andy my father turned 70 over the weekend and I’ve never once heard him use his age as an excuse for anything.
Your 55 and you talk like you’ve got one foot in the grave!

^_^

I suppose it’s a compliment you feel you have to make excuses when I finish ahead of you. Hopefully it happens enough times that I force you to think of some new ones! ^_^

I think we’ll be keeping each other company a fair bit if last night is anything to go by to be honest.

Previously you got new bikes/wheels as you went through the levels, now it's based on these points you accumulate as you ride - so same principle really in the sense that you can only get the best stuff if you've put in the miles. Main difference I guess is you get to pick and choose your upgrades rather than being assigned whatever you got for getting to the next level. Still make sure you're signed up for the Everest challenge so that you can get the Tron bike one day though - assuming that still works like that? It'll take you AGES though!
I checked yesterday to see how far I had to go, thinking I must be almost there.....

I was at 39% :hyper:

Regarding the tear drop credit thing. You still need to reach a certain level to unlock certain gear irrespective of how much credit you have. I’ve just been online to have a look. Managed to get a set of 808’s though so not all bad.

I also checked the Everest challenge. Is the % shown the total to get the bike or is there more climbing on top of that? I’m only on 20% which isn’t very close but I was surprised it was even that high so I’ll take it!

You're probably 20% up the actual Everest challenge. When you complete that you have to keep going until you've climbed the equivalent of four times up everest. So probably you're only 5% there - sorry to break that to you!

Hi Tommy - I recently completed the Everest challenge. You have to climb approx 9000 metres and you get the Trek Emonda bike for doing so. If you then continue going, once you get to 50000m you then get the Tron bike. I think I'm on about 19000m now. :bicycle:

I know @Whorty has got one here. Not sure who else.

Actually that's wrong - you have to climb 50k feet in total, so if you're 20% up everest you are about 11% through the challenge to get the tron bike - I think

Oh blimey Pete's right and I am wrong AGAIN!! I have had a couple of beers can you tell? I'll try again - if you have done 20%of everest then you have only done 3.5% of the total challenge to get the tron bike - again, I think! I'm giving up now and going back to my beer!

Unfortunately it's 50,000 metres (not feet) so you're probably just under 4%

I'm on driving duties tonight so can't have a Friday drink
