Lee went off quickly, i think he was trying to get a lead in(I meant on)--that sounds even worse!! Paul before the climb and build in it so the descent he wouldn't be caught. Paul was wise to it

i mucked up the start - wasnt looking and thought others had shot off so i was trying to catch up people who were behind ?! - my dirty plan was to just hide under pauls wing all the way but was worried others may have worked together and caught up , then with a few miles to go paul put it into the big cog at the front and waved cheerio- steep learning curve but noted for next time

I was torn between going back for you or staying with Martin. I knew if I lost Martin's wheel for a second I'd be gone so I just hung on for dear life through the jungle.

Carl I though you and me would have to sprint at the finish but Norry piled it on up the exit climb from the jungle and I just managed to stick with him. Would have been fun to have a 3 up- which sounds wrong but you know what I mean!

At the start, I noticed you crossed the line up ahead, while I stayed with Bridgy and crossed it a few seconds later. Those seconds + the sprint could be 8 seconds.

Are we supposed to cross the line with Bridgy? That makes sense...

I should of known after using the exact same tactic up alpe d’huez against Lee last summer. Ah that was the most memorable 6 seconds of my adult life. No offence to my first serious girlfriend. Who gave me the most memorable 6 seconds of my teenage life
