Took the bus to Cramond, walked up the Almond and around the Cammo estate. Then on to the Gyle to catch the bus home. Stayed mostly grey, there was just a brief hope of brightness around lunchtime but it was shortlived.

Riding in the Morning yesterday..…..and youngest Son miraculously WANTING to walk the dog in the afternoon: meant no walks for me ☹️ But we made up for it today, taking a new longer than normal route - that I thought ‘existed’…..

Pre 7am start and out toward Oulton Broad; and found some tracks around Lake Lothing (A mooring / boat-yard / holding area between sea and river):

Up toward the entrance / lock that leads into Oulton Broad:

This is now the other side of the lock. And road. And the Leisure and Pleasure side of Oulton Broad:

Through Normanston Park which was filling up with dog-walkers; with the same idea as us:

I had to hold Macy back from doing a 720 drop-in: into the Bowl at the SkatePark 😆

Through another newly discovered lane on the way home……

6.3 miles; and a couple of enjoyable hours inc photo stops !

Pushing it a little on the exercise / dog-walking front this week - as I’ve lost a little weight; and would like to use that as a bit of a kick-start for an upcoming Holiday Mid-March. So aiming to get up and out 15 mins earlier than my normal silly-early 🙄 and aim for 4 miles every Morning this week. Will try (If no one else has walked the dog) and double-up in the Evenings where I can too…..

This Morning was in stark contrast to the fabulous weekend. Deep frost and very cold again. Coupled with a freezing fog / mist. Lovely !!

Poor dog 🤣 Not too much prolonged sniffing today. Just got out and got a wriggle-on to get 4 miles done. ‘Felt’ about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. Had a sweat on under my Beanie……

A short walk around the block after a short ride on the bike this morning then a slightly longer lunchtime stroll completed.

Just short of 7k in steps so far for me today

Fresh one again today. “Feels like -1” apparently. Looked and felt colder ! With fairly thick frost in a lot of places……not just the secluded spots. To be fair the dog isn’t seemingly bothered one iota. And I certainly aren’t. Infact I actively embrace the different Seasons the older I get; and just get on with whatever I’m doing……

Completed within the hour just so a good pace .

And along to Gunton Woods. Where the ‘Gunton Wood Community Project’ looks after a huge array of tracks, trails and paths:

Two new to me walk throughs to give me a complete new route just over 3.8k in steps and all through local houses

'Bare minimum' 3.2 miles / 5k this Morning. So cold, wet and quite frankly rancid out - i couldnt even manage to get my hands out of my pocket - onto my phone to grab a picture. Worse still - its predicted to be like this most of the week here in this part of Suffolk.

Very close to 200 (Leisure only) walking miles for this Year already
