Just over 2 miles with 4.2k completed on my pre work walk this morning.

Walked at a very fast pace on a very mixed up route.

Well not sure speed but I was out for a total of 32 minutes

Thats pretty brisk. Anything around 15 mins per mile isnt a bad canter imo. I'm normally around 17 mins 30 secs with dog in tow. Thats likely around the same pace as you - but then there's the sniff-stops ^_^

When i used to really speed-walk (As fast as i could go without actually leaving the ground and putting load on my joints); i often got into the mid-12 minute range per mile. I'm still not sure that was entirely joint friendly though. So i try to keep to no quicker than 14 mins per mile if i'm on my own these days.

I prefer the brisk pace

And certainly no sniff stops

The aim was to do 3 miles every day minimum to start the day in 2025. Mostly managing around 3.5miles - as today. And around 5 miles on each weekend days. So should beat my target with any luck….

That sounds like a lovely walk! Hartland Manor and the beach must have been such a refreshing experience, especially with the dog enjoying the grounds. Not exactly a walk, but I recently cycled along a coastal path near my area. The fresh sea breeze and the peaceful sounds of the waves made it an amazing ride. Might have to check out Hartland Manor for both walking and cycling next time. Thanks for sharing!
