Off to the Broads on our dog-walk this Morning:
We left Lowestoft; and crossed the ‘divide’ at the border 🤣
Arrived at Oulton Broad. Bathed in gorgeous Morning Sunshine. But after a surprising sharp first - also with patchy ice coverings 😳
Around and into Nicholas Everitt Park we went….
Where Macy was mesmerised by the “Giant Seagulls” 🤣🤣
Right around the back of the Broad we walked:
Crossing over - and walking past the Sea-side of the ‘lock’ on our way home:
6 really enjoyable Sunday miles.
We left Lowestoft; and crossed the ‘divide’ at the border 🤣

No pics, but stuck some Foo Fighters on the earbuds and me and Bruce walked down into the old part of Hardingstone village, did a lap and then back home along the main road. Blummen fresh in that wind.

Welcome to the first walk of the working week 🙄
Fresh, very blustery walk - primarily around the estate I live on. But just about managed to avoid the wet stuff directly. Does look like a true mixed bag, weather-wise this week though……
**Outgoing Skechers boots I’ve been wearing lasted 376 miles (Not wonderful) and got binned Saturday. Being replaced by sone Karrimor walking / hiking trainers. Which so far have bordered on giving me blisters on my heels. If this persists they won’t be featuring in my walking life much longer…..

A circuit of the Water of Leith and canal this morning, the light in Colinton Dell was stunning as I set off. Found my first hazel flowers of the year.

Karrimor used to be a great brand a few decades back making quality outdoor gear. They got hauled out of administration by Sports Direct some time ago and tbh (sorry) they now produce tat.

Went for a 2 mile walk this morning with my wife along the coast path to the west of Porthcawl. She's struggling a bit with her health at the moment so cannot walk very fast. It was much shorter and slower than my usual lone walks but surprisingly I felt more tired than normal. I can only think that it is because of walking at an unfamiliar slow pace.

No fab photos I’m afraid - from ‘our’ last dog-walk of the week. And Month. A very dry month between 4 and 5am it’s been too 🙏 **Hard to capture too much in the pitch Black….
But out we headed through modern suburbia:
Out of Lowestoft and toward Corton:
And onto some of the paths, tracks and trails around Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park:
Another 3.6 miles dry, painless and enjoyable miles:
My aim was something like 100 miles a month / minimum of 3 miles a day. Strava tells me I’ve done ok in January: with 132 in the bag already 👍
But out we headed through modern suburbia:
