7 degrees above freezing. Positively tropical ! No doubt why I had a sweat-on under my beanie. Strava title says it all. And I’m far from mocking the plight of menopausal Women. I live with one and know how it works. For both of us 😉

***Strava Ai today - tells me I’m “On a solid 3 day streak”. This will be the same 3-day streak where I’ve walked the dog (Mostly) or got out and done a minimum of 1/2 hours movement on Holidays etc: every single day - without exception - going back to perhaps Mid (?) March 2024 🙄
Doesn't seem very intelligent to me.............

4 miles under our belts today. We walked just under 1200 miles in maybe 9 months last year (**Since April when we could go for proper walks and once Macy was old enough). And I’ve set a Strava target of 1300 miles (Approx 500 hours) for the year / 25 miles per week in 2025. Coupled with more cycling miles - that’s a reasonable amount of time / movement !!

The walking equates in reality to a minimum of 3 miles / 1 hour Mon-Fri before work.
And 5 miles each Saturday and Sunday; Morning / Evening combined - to get me to 30 miles for the week wherever possible. So I’ll be over 10 miles up on my target already by this week end; even so early in the year.

This Morning was cold. And as ever very quiet. I have a super-busy, super stressful Job. And as hard as it is to drag myself up silly early some days: the solice, peace and time to yourself in the fresh air is always enjoyable. Same as cycling in Winter ? The prospect is normally way worse that the reality…..

Just over 3k in steps on this morning's walk around the block.
Grey and chilly .
Can't remember what device reported it but it said I only walked 330 miles last year, seems low but the cycling milage was within 10 miles of my Garmin so must be accurate.

I’ve done 77 already this year, plus no doubt quite a few more when I didn’t bother starting the Garmin.

Good luck with your targets.

Very atmospheric pic - nice!

What is your occupation if you don't mind me asking. No worries if you don't answer.

Thankyou ! Just something to strive for - however small.

I’m general Manager for a successful and busy Engineering Company. Who design, manufacture, paint and install 90% of our products. Which are virtually all bespoke. So every job (40-50 on the go at any one time and upto 1/4 million pound value each) has material, manufacturing, timescale, labour, installation, health and safety issues blah blah. Generally 60 hour weeks minimum. Time for a break is unheard of. But I do get well looked after, good pension building up, 5 weeks holiday plus bank hols. So not all bad. Just truly bloody hard work…..
