Join the club mate:biggrin:

Very cold 25 miles this afternoon. My little weather station in the back garden says the max temp here today has been -2c. Probably won't go out tomorrow but hoping to get some miles in on New Year's day

Got a nice steady 40 miler done today. It was freezing cold, but I spotted the first lambs of the season in the fields - a sign of warmer/longer days to come, eh!!

T'was a bit miisty and gloomy, doesnt realy show on the photo.
A guy walking his dog must have thought i was loony...the path goes for maybe 4 miles alonside the river. I had just passed him, turned round and set off back where i just came from

Not the best weather for the good bike, but seeings its dry...why not. A wipe over when i'm back..get rid of the salt and muck.

Kebab, chips and a can of cider.....perfik

Me and three of the 'old boys' set off on a ride this morning at 10.00, by 11.00 one of the OB's had dropped out, another one was so slow up the hills we thought he'd gone home, then he got a p*nct*re, then his tyre wasn't seated properly, we stopped for coffee, Then we set off for home 3 hours later we had covered a measly 32 miles LOL! Mind you it was perishing cold, Mrs M thought I was mad for wanting to go out at all!

Yet again a planned ride had to be curtailed due to "customer interface issues". This meant I had to do a quick 20 mile loop on the Dispatch instead. I called in to see Fairweather and 515mm whilst I was on the way home though to say remind them that the New Years Day ride was still going ahead.

Just thawed out. 25 miles round trip to the pub. 4 of the club went out and we were informed on arrival that it was "ticket only"....aye right! It's -4 degrees and we have cycled to the pub in need of a couple of beers...so we were permitted entry and consumed a few beers before heading back out into the cold night.

Actually, I'm not quite sure I have thawed out - must have a few warming glasses of wine...

25km ride for me. Was going to be longer but feet too cold even with thermal socks and overshoes. Got the year off to a good start anyway. Lot of riders out though. All very sociable.

Did me first ride this morning. Cold it was but the fact I was out made it great. Did all of 4 miles in the end. Can`t wait for tomorrow for my legs to tell me all about it. Then the next day for more.
