It was really warm here today, thanks to my new santini bib longs, ps their pad is really comfortable too. I done 35 ish mls.

Did just about 30 miles today, and it was a lot colder than yesterday! There was a hell of a lot of thick ice all over the roads even into the afternoon.

Three pics from a third of the way up "Col D'Brit", Llanmadoc.

My ride today was a tad under 40 miles. A joyous trip? Not really. It was through some of the less attractive parts of West Yorkshire. AKA Castleford and Pontefract.
Not the worst by any means but I have ridden in places nicer on the eye thats for sure.

On part of my ride today I came across a really impressive large bird of prey. I think its the largest I've seen in the wild and up close too . Looking back at the footage I think it was a female Marsh Harrier.

We have loads of Marsh Harriers nearby HLaB (if you know where to look). 4 to 6ft wingspan and a really quite lazy wing beat if that helps. Thats an impressive sighting

Totally freezing today..40km ...ok so it was sunny but man was it cold...I seem to have a low cold threshold as I had full winter gear on including waterproof over trousers etc and I was still shivering...I saw several roadies out in summer gear though...are they crazy or am I just a wimp?

61miles today it was forecast to be an overcast day but wasn't and it turned out to be a delightful day and wasn't really too cold until near the end just before the sunset when I noticed large ice patches at the side of the road. I opted to wear the santini bib longs, a giordana base layer, a Gore Phantom jacket, Merino socks, overshoes, a helmet, winter road gloves and a reflective gilet and I was just about the perfect temperature. Gloom Hill (aptly named), Dollar and Nivingston Craigs, Cliesh soon warm you up.

Commuting mileage only - and froze at that. On the way in, the headwind made it feel like minus 20. On the way home, having been freezing all day (heating off at work) I felt like an iceberg lumbering along.

Sitting here with both feet on the radiator!

13 mile commute today, including a ride into town to get a 'snood' ??? Who made that name up ???
Cold, but riding in town's not so windy..and the snood kept my chin and neck lurvely and warm  Lots of traffic, lane changes and roundabouts...good fun.

I bought one of those last winter from an outdoors shop. Combined with a running cap under the helmet (makes up for missing insulation due to lack of hair ) it really does help.
