I wasn't sure if it was icy or not so I didn't bother with the club ride, I just waited a while for things to warm up  before going for a short 18mile cycle.

Good ride, 2 other people out on fixed, made a change because im normally the only one on fixed out. We kept dropping the group on the hills, so we waited for them.
On the way back we dropped the group on an uphill, with a few people o geared bikes keeping up. The other 2 people on fixed were on bigger gears and got away from me slowly.
Was a good ride, legs now tired from lots of spinning:laugh:;)

2 days at temps well below freezing so I given it a miss for both days, feel a bit guilty about this but to be frank a choice between being hyperthermic, wet and dirty or watching a repeat of New Zealand win over England its a bit of a no brainer.

15 miles only for me. Just couldn't get warm.
Chafed the edge of my bell end somehow. Didn't notice until I got in the shower - then I noticed!! Feck that hurt.

Did the "west Yorkshire get together" (see events forum). Met up with a couple of guys in the centre of Leeds and drove out in a van to Hebden Bridge. Did just about 35 miles in the hills. It was a very cold, the Yorkshire scenery looked amazing in the frost though! Plus there was a nice coffee and cake involved too!

Only trouble is, we crossed over the forbidden border into Lancashire... A hasty escape was made thankfully.;)

Myself and Fairweather went out at 2.30 and just about survived the cold for an hour and a quarter. Tried to spin for as long as I could to try and stay warm. 130rpm for more than 30 secs is not much fun. ;)

Abandoned after 12 miles:sad:, when one of the club lads managed to snap the seat pin on his Spesh Tricross!

It was pretty icy cold and blowing a gale and raining, so was quite content to escort him home, he had to stand all the way (5 miles) I was knackered anyway after some pretty heavy bedroom action.;);) so was happy to head home.
